Hi guys, providing an update! After two congressional pushes my c09 was finally approved 2 weeks before my current ead (c14) expires. 7/6 reached out to emma and requested expedite request based on several financial loss, live rep stated an agent would give me a call but never received a call. 7/24 reached out to my congressman ( republican) submitted combined documents ( HR email stating termination if new ead not presented, pay stubs & employment verification letter, copy of my current ead & letter explaining my situation/ asking for expedite) 7/28 congressman emailed me stating an inquiry submitted to USCIS Reached out 9/1 asking for a FU, Congressam replied stating no reply and there is severe backlog for expedite requests. But that he will submit a second inquiry 9/15 card produced 9/16 formal approvali. Received in mail 9/23

While waiting for approval, I moved and changed my address, still within the same state. I didn’t get any update from USCIS it was changed (besides just the information sent message on the website.) Do they notify you, in any way? #I129F #addresschange

Rfe submitted and notice was shown case received and showing finger print was taken. and transfered to dallas field office on 07/26/2026. After that no any response?? Does any one has case in dallas field office?

Hi everyone, my I-751 is currently pending (filed as a divorce waiver). Today, 09/23/2026, I received a USCIS notice titled “FBI Privacy Requirements for Biometrics Collection by USCIS.” The notice says that USCIS may use my biometrics for FBI criminal-history checks and specifically says “You do not need to take any further action at this time.” Has anyone else received this notice while their I-751 was pending? Did your I-751 get approved shortly after receiving this notice, or did it simply become part of the normal background-check process? TIA

I-485 Interview Scheduled

Hello, I had my I-360 form approved in January 2025 and I am now scheduled for my I-485 interview. Because things have changed and continue to change constantly. I have no idea of what to expect? will I get asked about the abuse even when it has already been adjudicated? I went thru a very traumatic experience and just the thought of having to relive and tell what I went through makes me very anxious. Does anyone here has something to share? what kind of questions to expect? thank you!

I-485 transferred from NBC to Boston Field Office — good sign?

Hi everyone, My I-485 has been pending since November 2024. My case was originally being handled by the National Benefits Center (NBC). Today I chatted with a USCIS live agent, and they told me that my case has been transferred from NBC to the Boston Field Office. I live in Massachusetts. Does anyone know what this usually means? Is a transfer to the local field office a positive sign that the case is moving toward adjudication, or is it just a normal part of the process and doesn’t necessarily mean anything? My case has already been pending for almost 2 years, so I’m trying to understand whether this transfer is meaningful. Has anyone in Massachusetts had their I-485 transferred from NBC to the Boston Field Office? If so, how long did it take after the transfer to receive an interview notice, RFE, or decision? Any experiences or information would be appreciated. Thank you!

Asylum approved 2023, I-485 pending at NBC - Got "Decision Was Mailed" on my OLD I-589 two days ago?

Hi everyone, I was granted asylum in Dec 2023. I filed my I-485 for green card and it's pending at NBC. Two days ago (Sep 16), my OLD asylum case (I-589) suddenly updated to "Decision Was Mailed". I got very confused because my asylum was already approved a long time ago. I did a Senator Inquiry 2 weeks ago for my I-485. Is this update related to NBC requesting my asylum file from the asylum office? Did anyone else get a "Decision Was Mailed" on an already approved asylum case while your I-485 is pending? What letter did you receive after? Thanks!
