Hi, from what I am seeing on the USCIS page, I can ask for an expedite of my SS number. I have a psychology and social work degree. I worked in social work in a variety of settings and agencies in Canada 🇨🇦 but left my field in 2017 but I have a professional degree which is usable here. There is a message on the website that says I can apply for an expedite. Has anyone tried doing this? I am not sure if I would need a job offer first. I am on day 215 since applying.

Case 2022: finally approved

I can’t believe it, today I got my i485 approved after almost a month of the i130 approval. Case filled on 2022 for AOE, US spouse. Can anyone tells me how long to wait until to have the card on hands? thanks to all of you who help me a lot in this journey.

Green Card Being produced

It was a long and stressful journey that took almost two years, and in fact, four years altogether because I had to re-file . I had my interview on September 24th, and everything went smoothly. The officer mentioned that she didn’t understand why an interview was scheduled because everything looked fine. She said I would have to wait 2 or 3 weeks since the visa wasn’t available at that moment. Yesterday, I received a message that my card is being produced. Now, we are waiting for my wife and daughter, as they weren’t scheduled for interviews, and they haven’t been asked for their medical exams yet.

Case Transfered to Denver, CO. Meaning?

Hi! I just chatted with Emma and the agent said my case was transferred from NBC to Danver/CO on 9/26/2024. I didn’t receive any notification about it and I live in Maryland. Do you know if it means anything? Tired of waiting 😢

anyone here with an ACD?

so I was arrested on a felony charge (forgery of a government document) which was actually reduced to a misdemeanor. Being this is my first arrest in 27 years and I was NOT aware that the document I had were forged, they were able to offer me an ACD (adjournment in contemplation of dismissal) basically if I stay out of trouble for 3 months (which is pretty easy for me since I am a pretty decent person) the case then gets sealed and dismissed. my question is for anyone that is/was on the same boat as me. Did USCIS give any issues? I already stated that I was arrested, but I was NOT convicted of any charges, I also provided my court disposition. I read a few articles that they won’t deny my case for that arrest since it’s the ACD is not considered a conviction, a plea bargain, or an admission of guilt.
