Case Processing

supervisor review pending after interview
I attended my adjustment of status interview on February 2, 2026 at the Montgomery FO with my wife and our newborn child who was born in the United States.(PD: Mar,2023) At the end of the interview, the officer told me that I might receive a update by the end of the day or that a decision could be issued within the week. She explained that she does not have authority to approve the case on her own and that supervisor approval is required as part of the protocol. She also mentioned that she would be in court the following day for personal matters but that she would try to process my case as much as possible that day and discuss it with her supervisor. I asked whether there was anything further I needed to do or if additional documents were required. She stated that nothing further was needed and that my documentation including the marriage certificate and my child’s birth certificate was complete. However, she indicated that supervisor review was required in relation to my employment-related portion of the case. She was very polite and friendly throughout the interview and the overall atmosphere was positive. Before concluding, she asked if I would like her to call me after speaking with her supervisor and confirming visa number availability. She took my phone number and walked us to the exit when the interview concluded. It has now been six days, and I have not received a call or any case status updates. Is it normal for supervisor review to take this long?
