Need suggestions
Right now I am feeling regret about my decision. I am a registered nurse and I work at a very good hospital in Texas, one of the top hospitals. Two of my friends applied for a green card through EB-3. At that time, my friend strongly encouraged me to leave my VAWA case and move to EB-3, but I did not take it seriously. I thought it would be better to stay with my VAWA case. Now my friend’s EB-3 has been approved and she has received her green card. Meanwhile, I am from a banned country and currently my hospital has put EB-3 sponsorship on hold. My VAWA case has been pending since March 2023. I would really appreciate guidance. If I apply again now, is it the right time to do so? Should I consider applying for EB-3, or should I continue with my current case? Thank you for any advice or suggestions.

Lawfully Timeline – EB‑3 Other Worker Priority Date (PD): April 2021 I‑485 – Adjustment of Status 12/09/2022 – I‑485 filed 04/13/2023 – Biometrics taken 04/14/2023 – Case transferred 06/17/2024 – Case paused (visa number not available) 03/06/2026 – Case reopened & new card ordered 03/09/2026 – I‑485 officially reopened 03/11/2026 – ✅ Card was mailed --- I‑485J – Supplement J 12/09/2022 – I‑485J received 04/2023 – I‑485J transferred 06/17/2024 – ✅ I‑485J approved --- Short Summary My I‑485 was denied (status never updated to denied) due to a I-140 withdrawal, but it was a USCIS error since I submitted a supplement J and it was already approved. 
A Motion to Reopen was filed and approved after 6 months.
On the same day, USCIS reopened the case and ordered the green card. I‑485 was denied due to an alleged withdrawal, but I was never notified.
I never received a denial notice by mail or online, and my case always remained as “Case Remains Pending” after my Supplement J approval.A few months after my priority date became current and I submitted my medical exams, I noticed the case was taking unusually long. After contacting USCIS chat, I was told — for the first time — that my case had been denied.With no official notification, I requested help from my Congresswoman to identify the reason for the denial. Once it was confirmed as a USCIS error, I filed a Motion to Reopen.After months of distress, the Motion was approved, and on the same day, USCIS reopened the case and ordered my green card.
