Case Processing
Seattle FO
is here anyone whose NIW I485 EB2 case was transferred from NBC to Seattle Field Office (non local field office) after post biometric and interview is waived? how long it takes for this field office to give a final decision to I485? Silent update followed by chat with Emma confirmed this. Action date of I140: current, biometric: December, silent update: mid January and beginning of February, Field office transfer: beginning of February.
I485 anyone?? (F2A marriage based)
Hi everyone!
Is anyone else here currently waiting for their I-485 to be approved?
I’m in the waiting phase and would love to connect with others who are in the same boat. The wait can feel pretty long, so it’d be nice to share updates or experiences 🙂

PD March 27,2023 I-140 Approved in October 2024
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for expert opinions or personal experiences regarding my EB-3 Unskilled case.
• Priority Date: March 27, 2023
• Category: EB-3 Unskilled (Other Workers)
• Status: Currently in the U.S. on F-1, but maintaining status is becoming difficult.
My questions:
1. When do you think a PD of March 27, 2023 might become current under EB-3 Unskilled, realistically? Any estimates based on current retrogression patterns?
2. Because staying on F-1 is becoming challenging, would it be better to go back to my home country and continue through consular processing?
• Has anyone here moved back and successfully continued their EB-3 process from abroad?
• What should I expect in terms of delays or complications?
3. How does the “75 countries visa processing pause” affect consular cases?
• If I move back, would this delay things further?
• How long could this pause last based on past patterns?
I would really appreciate advice from people who:
• have a similar EB-3 unskilled PD and are watching movement
• switched from adjustment of status to consular processing
• or understand how current consular slowdowns / pauses can affect timelines
Any suggestions on what I should do in my situation would be extremely helpful.
Thank you!
H1B cap ended 01/26, filed I140 premium and EB2 NiW
> My H1B 6th yr maxed out on 05Feb2026 and I94 Expired on employer "A" i797A petition
> Based on PERM, my current full time employer "A", filed a 7th yr H1B Extension on 08Jan2026 on regular process before maxed out.
> Employer "B" filed PERM on 24Aug2024, it was approved on 16Dec2025.
> Employer "B" filed an I140 petition on premium on 13Jan2026 but confirmed that payment had been completed on 16Jan2026. Neither receipt number nor status received so far from employer "B"
> Employer "A" filed EB2-NIW filed on 6Nov2025 on premium but received RFE and response received by USCIS on 04Feb2026. I do have the least hope of approval.
What are the options I do have now?
If I wanted to continue to work with Employer "A" (Fulltime)?
If I want to switch to employer B? Should I be required to move on to employer B?
Any other possible options to extend H1B using I-140 if approved with employer "A"
Can I get an I140 petition number or approval copy if employer "B" does not want to share
What if I140 has not even filed yet or gets RFE/Denial?
Can I upgrade the 7th year H1B extension to premium to get a valid i94 to transfer to Employer "B", then when would be the best time to upgrade? What if H1B 7th Yr extension gets RFE/denial and what are the chances?
Any scope to file 8th year H1B extension with Employer A to continue to work until i get I140 approval or bridge petitions can file? or any other VISA to continue to work. (my wife and kids are on H4 dependent)
