travel advanced parole
I just came back today from Türkiye with advanced parole. I waited in secondary inspections 1h and they take me one room no questions asking just fingerprints and photo taken and welcome also I ask the officer like hey I am traveling a lot is that problem right now with new rule she said no if you trust your case. I hope this helps you ( advanced parole from vawa)
C09 Vawa base EAD
My EAD application status shows that biometrics were marked as "Fingerprint Taken" on 08/06/2026. However, on 08/08/2026 I received a notice for a fingerprint appointment. I believe USCIS may have reused biometrics from a previous application I filed approximately 3 years ago.
Is there any reason I should be concerned about attending this scheduled appointment?
I-130
Hi everyone! I am a U.S. citizen, and I filed separate I-130 petitions for both of my parents in November 2023. They are currently living in Romania, and we still have not received a decision or any significant update on either case.
It has been almost three years, and both petitions are still showing as actively being reviewed. Are there any other November 2023 filers, especially for parents living abroad, who are still waiting? If your case was recently approved, could you please share your priority date, service center, and timeline?
Thank you!
writ of mandamus
Would it be a good idea to file a mandamus lawsuit after receiving a “Fingerprints Were Taken” update for the second time on my I485 ( status changed to in process then)? Could this update mean that the case is actively moving forward, and would it be better to wait a little longer before filing? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Filing N-400 With Pending I-751 — What Was Your Timeline?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice/experiences with a pending I-751 and filing for citizenship.
Here’s my USCIS timeline:
• Nov. 24, 2021: Became a conditional permanent resident
• Nov. 2023: Filed I-751 Removal of Conditions
• Receipt number: IOE
• Processing: NBC / Chicago Field Office
• Current status: I-751 is still pending
I’m now eligible and about to file my N-400 Application for Naturalization while my I-751 is still pending.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation:
1. How long after filing your N-400 did you receive an interview notice?
2. How long did the entire N-400 process take from filing to oath ceremony?
3. If your I-751 was still pending, did USCIS schedule a combo I-751/N-400 interview, or was the I-751 approved before the N-400 interview?
4. Did filing the N-400 seem to move your pending I-751 along?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who went through the Chicago Field Office recently.
Thank you!
Georgia/Atlanta N400&I751
Hi
I applied I751 on 03/2025 and N400 on 02/2026 under 3yr marriage base rule.
I heard USCIS processing is heavily delayed these days and it shows ATL/Georgia field office takes about 11month for N400. When should I expect to have interview schedule? And has anyone gotten approved recently?

Update from Live Agent (I-485 form): Interview requested by Officer at Queens Field Office. What’s next?
Derivative Asylee I-485 Update
I filed my I-485 on March 8, 2024 (NBC), and my case has been “Ready to Be Scheduled for an Interview” for about 4 months.
My wife, the principal asylee, was approved in January 2025 without an interview.
Today, a USCIS Live Agent told me my case is now at the Queens Field Office. An officer reviewed it on August 4, 2026, and requested that my interview be scheduled.
Is this a good sign? And for those with a similar case, how long after the interview was requested did you receive your interview notice?
RFE: MEDICAL AND SUP J
Has anyone experienced the case of receiving RFE and required the Sup J. My previous Sup J has been approved. So I was still wondering why they asked the new sup j for ? is there a good reason behind this ? Nowadays, USCIS officers usually act based on emontion frequently rather than using logical senses of God. I just want to hop in and ask for a good answer. Anyone has any ideas why ? Please spill it out…. it could help.
Asylum I485 Interview
How long does it take to receive the interview notice after the case status changes from "case is ready for an interview" to "interview was rescheduled"?
For those with an I-485 application under the asylum category, could you share how long it took for you to receive your interview notice?
