It’s my turn! My case is Approved! 🙏🏻
Hi friends!
It’s my turn! After almost 5 years of sharing my journey and reading about others’ experiences, it’s finally my time to say: my case is approved!
Since I know these posts mean a lot to many of us, I didn’t want to skip sharing my story. I’ll try to keep it simple and cover the main points and common questions:
PD: 03/2021
Sponsor: Taco Bell – BDV
1st interview: 08/2022
Started working for sponsor: 12/2022
→ Worked for one full year after that I informed my sponsor I’d need to take a break for personal reasons.
05/2025: RFE for medical
06/2025: Case ready for 2nd interview
09/2025: Interview scheduled (yes, I waited 3 months to receive the date!)
10/2025: 2nd interview – Detroit Field Office
The interview was very quick—about 30–40 minutes. The officer was kind and mentioned she knew I had been waiting a long time but needed a second interview due to new policies. She said she just needed to review and update some information.
No questions about BDV, my sponsor, or anything like that ( all these questions was made on my first interview). She asked when I stopped working; I was honest and explained that the visa wasn’t available and that I had to move to another state for personal reasons, but that once approved, I intend to return to work. She asked if I worked somewhere else—I said yes, temporarily—and that was it.
My husband’s interview was separate, and he was with the officer for only about 15 minutes. Mostly form questions.
Dependents: Only my husband (we have 2 kids, both born here).
My biggest advice: Keep living your life and doing what makes you happy. Otherwise, time will pass, and you’ll feel stuck and frustrated. Your time will come! Wishing you all a future filled with purpose and happiness here! Thank you for all the support in this great community 💫
administrative processing Islamabad embassy
My husband’s interview date is December 1st, and I have been seeing a lot of people go into administrative processing even though they are congratulated at the interview. They keep their passports too. So I’m confused as to how long it takes them to issue the visa even though they don’t ask for additional evidence or a 221g. Some people still haven’t received their visas even though their interviews were in October.
Waiting for decision after interview – Kendall FL Field Office (Oct 20, 2025)
Hi everyone. Marriage-based I-485 interview completed on Oct 20, 2025 – Kendall, FL Field Office.
Received ‘Notice of Interview Results’ stating case is held for review.
No RFE, no update yet. Anyone else still waiting from Kendall around same date?

I730
Hi everyone,
Has anyone here had an I730 follow to join case through the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi? My friend’s husband is the beneficiary, the embassy already sent the link to schedule the interview, but it keeps asking for the DS260 form, which is still locked.
They have emailed the embassy several times but only get auto replies. If anyone has gone through this, could you please share how you solved it or how long it took for the embassy to unlock the form or schedule the interview?
Any advice or experience would be really appreciated. 🙏
520 Days and Counting - PD 6th June 2024
Hi, my application was received at Texas on 5th June 2024 and PD assigned on 6th June 2024, recept notice received on 21st June 2024.
Processing times are continuously increasing, started from 7.5 months and currently at 19.5 months, most of the I-140s (approximately 80%) in the batch as per casestatus ext and mycase hub are approved, 2 denied and 1 RFE.
Any commenfs on this? shall i keep hopes high or expect an RFE?
Earlier query time was November 2025 which has now shifted to March 2026.
485 Approval Timlines
I’m an Australian on an L1A transferring to EB1C.
I-140 and I-485 lodged concurrently on 18 September 2024. I-140 approved on 20 October 2025. So far, I-485 has been in progress for 14 months, with no update since December 2024. It’s still at NBC.
Any ideas on if this timeframe is to be expected or if I should do anything to follow up?
grateful
I’m overjoyed that I’m at this part of my journey. I really cannot say the process was difficult . married December and got approved before our anniversary, no RFE, no lawyer. I’m therefore passing the baton on to all the persons who are in waiting. may you have the strength to continue in this season. I have learnt that everyone’s journey will be different so stay focused and use what you have until you get what you want. ✌🏾
Case Denied :(
“On November 7, 2025, we denied your Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, Receipt Number #x. We sent you a denial notice that explains why we denied your case and your options. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your denial notice by November 22, 2025, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice.”
My ex wife physically abused me 4 years ago and caught a felony case that night for it. I was evaluated from a VAWA center saying I was battered. I did have a violation of protective order felony 7 years ago, and a DUI dismissal 2 years ago. how is this possible? after waiting for more than 3 years.. this is one of the worst days in my life 😔
