Case Processing
F2A, December 2022 No News
Hello everyone, I would like to know if there are any other cases similar to mine. I submitted my request almost 3 years ago. 3 years with zero updates, is this normal? I understand that processes are taking longer now than in previous years, but it’s insane that we’ve gone 3 years with no updates or news on how things are going or at least an estimated time. Its frustrating that my marriage life has been paused for such a long time and that our case could possibly be finalized until end of 2027 due to the backlogs.
I would appreciate it if anyone with a similar case can let me know if they’ve received any news.
Case was approved & New card is being produced (EAD - C31)
Close to 6 years roller coaster journey ends into peace. grateful to myself for not giving up. simple advice- go with an experienced VAWA lawyers.. my first lawyer gave me full of anxiety and created fear in my heart by his inexperience action and words and then changed to an experienced lawyer when I received RFE and got the case approved within a month. Do yourself a favor & peace of mind to go with a strong and experienced lawyers.

Extension under process - Job change h1 transfer
My current employer filed my visa extension before my I-94 expiry, and it is still in process. I’m now getting a new job, and the new employer is ready to file the transfer.
Will this create any issues since the extension hasn’t been approved yet?
Do we need the extension to be approved first before submitting the transfer?
please help me with your experiences and feedback
My VAWA & I-485 Experience — Looking for Others in the Same Situation
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a bit about my VAWA case and see if anyone else is going through something similar. My VAWA (Form I-360) was approved in March 2024, and my I-485 adjustment of status has been pending since December 2020 — almost 2 years since the approval with no RFE, interview, or update from USCIS. My lawyer and Senator Warren’s office both submitted inquiries, but the response was just that my case is “still under review.” I also recently renewed my EAD (C31 category). This long wait has been very stressful, especially after everything I went through before VAWA. I’d love to hear if anyone else has a similar timeline or got approved recently — it would really help me stay hopeful. 💛
Green card received! Full i-485 mandamus timeline
Hi community. I have recently made a detailed post about my writ of mandamus experience. Today, I got my green card in hand. 🥳
February-2023: asylum approved
June 3, 2024: USCIS received my i-485
April 9, 2025: status changed to “interview is ready to be scheduled”
May-September-2025: called USCIS, contacted Congresswoman, Ombudsman and submitted expedite request with no success
Oct 21, 2025: filed my mandamus lawsuit with a court and served the defendants
Nov 6, 2025: new card is being produced
Nov 7, 2025: case approved
Nov 14, 2015: card was mailed to me
Nov 19, 2025: card received; notice of voluntary dismissal submitted to the court
So it took less than a month from filing mandamus to green card in hand.
Tomorrow, it’s my 6 year anniversary in the United States. The best gift ever. 🎁
