Case Processing
Case was approved
PTL! After submitting our I-693 and job offer letter on August 31, we saw the 'RFE Received' status on September 15—and the very next day, our whole family’s green cards were approved at lightning speed! Just in time for the new fiscal year, ending our 4-year wait. We fully understand the feeling of helplessness and uncertainty along the way, but the Lord heard our prayers and spared us from further waiting. May God show His mercy to all of you who are still waiting, and we pray you receive your green cards soon!
Cincinati Ohio
Is anyone has there case in Cincinati Ohio? Or know anyone who got GC from this field office? I sent my rfe in june 24 and never heard back anything. I have fedex tracking says its delivered. I file a case inquiry and its been 3 weeks already and no response either.
Anyone here waiting this long after sending the medical rfe?
Asylum grant date 01/2023 vs. I-94 date 10/2024 — which date matters for I-485/WOM?
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask this before, but I was holding myself back. Now I’m considering filing a mandamus because my I-485 has been pending for a long time.
My timeline:
• Asylum application (I-589): filed 03/2017
• Asylum interview: 10/2020
• My asylum approval notice was received in 10/2024.
• However, the approval notice says: “As of 01/2023, you have been granted asylum in the United States pursuant to Section 208…”
• My I-94 shows 10/2024.
• I filed my I-485 in 11/2024.
• My I-485 is still pending.
My question is: What is my official asylum approval/grant date — 01/2023 or 10/2024?
I’m asking because I’m considering filing a mandamus (WOM) in federal court. I’m concerned that if USCIS or the government looks at my I-94 date of 10/2024, they might argue that my asylum-based I-485 has only been pending since after that date.
On the other hand, my actual asylum approval notice specifically says that I was granted asylum as of 01/2023.
Has anyone had a similar situation where the asylum approval notice has one date but the I-94 shows a later date?
For a mandamus case, which date would generally be relevant, and does the I-94 date change the effective asylum grant date?
Thank you in advance for any information or experiences you can share.
Emma Live agent Says;
According to agent: Your case is processing at the SAN FRANCISCO FIELD OFFICE and the last time an officer reviewed your case was on 06/25/2026
Have anybody seen this kind of update?
what happens next?

I got current in May 2026
Officer looked my case but didn’t send any RFE like Medical (coz my medical expired).
What might be the reason?
Or is it preparation for interview?
Have you guys had an experience?
thanks!
I-485 Based on Granted Asylum – 685 Days and Still Waiting
Hi everyone
I’m wondering if anyone is in a similar situation.
I filed my I-485 based on a granted asylum case about 685 days ago, and I’m still waiting for a decision.
I filed at NYC
My timeline:
* Asylum granted by Immigration Judge: August 2024
* I-485 filed: November 2024
* Biometrics: December 4, 2024
* RFE: None
* Since the biometrics update, there have been absolutely no updates on my case.
* Current status: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed / fingerprints applied (depending on how it displays in the system)
I contacted a USCIS live agent online today to ask where my case is currently being processed. They told me:
“The case is at the National Benefits Center. Your case is processing normally and nothing further is required from you at this time.”
So apparently my case is still at NBC.
It has now been 685 days since I filed, and the wait has honestly been very long and frustrating.
Is anyone else in a similar situation, especially those who filed around October–December 2024?
Are your cases also still at NBC with no RFE and no updates since biometrics?
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your timeline, especially your filing date, biometrics date, current office, and whether you’ve received any updates.
Thanks!

Basically, we filed for a WOM on August 3rd, and on August 18th, they scheduled an interview for us. But today, we found out that the interview was canceled. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Looking for an Immigration Attorney to Attend USCIS Interview – Northern Virginia
Hello,
Looking for an Immigration Attorney to Attend USCIS Interview – Northern Virginia
I have my marriage-based green card interview scheduled for September 22 in Northern Virginia (Fairfax area) and I’m considering hiring an immigration attorney to attend the interview with me.
For those who have done this before:
* Was having an attorney physically present at the USCIS interview helpful?
* What did the attorney actually do during the interview?
* What is a reasonable fee in Northern Virginia for an attorney to attend the interview?
* Can you recommend an attorney who has experience with marriage-based adjustment of status interviews, particularly at the Fairfax field office?
I’m especially interested in recommendations from people who personally used an attorney for their interview and can share their experience and approximate cost.
Thank you!
pending GC
Hey guys, two weeks ago my state senator made an inquiry and an expedite request to USCIS regarding my I-485, which has been pending for 26 months. USCIS responded that my application was already assigned and awaiting review, and that an expedite request could not be processed. So, how much longer do I have to wait for approval?
