Finance/insurance
Applying for insurance……Medicaid….etc.
I need advice. For those of you that have gone through this process, how on earth are you getting coverage for a reasonable price?
I have been looking for Insurance & the quotes are ridiculous. $500+ a month is something my mother can’t do. I just spoke to an agent & I mentioned that I returned home due to a DV situation (maybe that’s where I went wrong). She said that as I’m not yet divorced I would need to file taxes w/my husband next year to qualify! I told her that she was mad & im not asking my abuser for ANYTHING! She said unless I do that, I don’t qualify for insurance. I told her some choice words & hung up the phone.
I’m going to see if I can qualify for Medicaid. I need to get knee surgery like yesterday. My advanced osteoarthritis seems to be getting worse & worse each month. I need to be able to have quality of life & be ble to support myself, which means I need full time employment.
About sending money to my country
Hi all!
I have a question about sending money to my country.
I’m h-1b status. Since my parents need money, I’ve sent $20,000 to my father this year. I’ll send $20,000 next year. My bank told me there is no problem with that amount of money, but I’m worried there is any forms to report.
Thank you!

Car financing !
Hi All. my green card has expired and I received my extension form and I’m working normally. the sales person at the dealership told me I might get refused for not having a stable case or the bank might give me a loan for the duration of my extension letter only ! I wonder if anyone has any information or experience in something like that.

Been in US since March 2020
Husband received his share of full recovery rebate and stimulus check amount. But my stimulus check amount was not sent.

Or if anyone facing the same issue.

Advice needed: Buying a car as a new worker in the US
Hi all,
I just arrived in the US on an H-1b. I have a valid SSN but no credit history. I also have with me a valid international license from my home country that will last me for a year.
What are my options? What were some of your experiences?
Thanks!

insurance while waiting for AOS GC
Hi all,
Got a question here. is there anybody that is adjusting their status through marriage with USC and without ssn yet can be added to their husband insurance who works for the federal employer?
My situation is I am 25 weeks pregnant and my husband cannot add me on to his insurance because his company gave the reason that he is a federal employee and for that the dependent need to have a ssn first. and i am not qualify for an emergency medicaid as well because his income is higher than the limits (not even for emergency for pregnant) and nothing came up in the marketplace because look like we do not meet in any criterias.
I see some of people without ssn and in the same status with me are added to their partner’s insurance so i am a little confused .. so just because my husband works for the federal thats why they are more complicated?
so is there any other people whose partner works for federal but still manage to get added on the insurance without ssn?
thank you.

I opened an account in chase bank last month, and I received letter asking to fill out W-8 form. I’m on a f-1 visa, currently in process for GC. SSN or ITIN is required on this form which I do not have. Anyone can help please? Many thanks.
