Our appointment was set for 0900, but we weren’t called until around 0915. The IO was very nice with us and the interview went smoothly. He first requested our documents (passports, birth certificates, marriage certificate and I-693), and then he asked my husband his name, his bday, my name, my bday, when we met and where we got married. Turned to me and asked me my name, my bday, his name, his bday, when we got married and some yes/no questions.
The conversation turned more casual after this. We showed him different things like our wedding album, and gave him a compilation of pictures, bank statements and health insurance, chatted a little bit more and told us of our approval.
It lasted about 20 minutes. Another 20 minutes after we got out, I got the notification!
Feel free to ask anything you want! And great luck for all!
I-140 EB-2 NIW PD 8/20/2020 Approved in 222 days (03/29/2021) Nebraska (NSC)
Evidence submitted: job applications in fields of proposed endeavor; employed at a different field at time of application; still looking for new jobs. 65 citations at time of application, two first-author, two second-author, 6 total; some peer review work; employer letter stating how my job helps in developing skills; personal letter explaining my goals; petition tied to how I’m addressing three points for NIW; three independent recommendations out of 5; some media coverage and recognition; of course also evidence of how it’s tied to national interest.
Had already obtained PhD in chemistry at the time of application, and was employed.
No RFE was issued.
Was on student F1-STEM-OPT status at time of application, although H1-B was already approved but was going to begin in October. Filed I-485 a month after filing I-140 so technically case is non-concurrent.
Still waiting for the actual notice to arrive in mail. I can raise the request if I don’t receive by April 13.
Update: law firm received my approval notice!

So I live in Atl but my interview was scheduled in South Carolina. Green card takes forever to get.
It took 18 months to receive my green card. I expected the same for citizenship, I was wrong. I applied for citizenship a few weeks ago, I got a letter saying biometrics wasn’t necessary, I assume it’s because I renewed my green card in 2019 and everything on my file is still valid. My appointment for interview and testing is set for the beginning of next month. Here’s hoping for approval and maybe a Ceremony on Independence Day.
Expidited Request Approved
I have a few question and I would like some feedback. I did an expidited request on April 6, and on the 8, of April I got a message saying new card is being produced. Today I got a message saying the Expidited Request Approved but I can’t find the message about the card is being produced. Is this an error is my EAD already shipped? PD Sept. 17, 2020.
GC in hand, when to expect ssn
hi guys, I called my local ss office as I didn't get any Social Security Card before interview. The gentleman told me no walk in due to covid, took my # and said he would call me back and give and appointment date. After 2wks I called back the office, the lady who I spoke to said I have to wait 12 weeks.
Anyone with the same situation as mine??
TIA.
