Finally got my approval for a green card yesterday. Went from DACA to becoming a permanent residence. Took 18 years and still can't believe it.
Timeline for GC:
PD: 04/2020
EAD: 09/2020
Interview scheduled: 04/05/21
Interview: 05/25/21
Approved few minutes later. The officer was nice. Asked basic questions and reviewed all the documents.
Approved marriage-based I-485, DC office
- Married- May 14, 2020
- I-485 & I-765 PD- July 1, 2020
- Fingerprint fee accepted- July 31, 2020
- RFI- August 12, 2020, they needed tax forms that we hadn’t been able to get from IRS because of COVID
- Response to RFI received- August 31, 2020
- Biometrics appointment- January 5, 2021
- Request to expedite EAD- March 30, 2021, for financial reasons
- Request to expedite EAD approved- April 2, 2021
- EAD approved- April 7, 2021, delivered to me by April 21, 2021
- Interview scheduled- April 19, 2021
- Interview- May 25, 2021
- New card is being produced!!! - May 25, 2021
Our interview was at the Washington, DC field office in Fairfax, VA. We left the interview feeling a little anxious because the IO did not seem to like us, so we were expecting to have to wait for a while. Case was updated to show approval just a few hours later! So happy and thankful!!

My Daughter's case Approved: October 2020
Spouse Application: RFE (Initial documents) October 2020
Spouse Application: May 21st 2021 'Case Review'
Spouse Application: May 24th 2021 Case Approved
Spouse: Case sent to NVC May 27th

NVC website issue for more than one week
My I130 was approved 20 days ago, and they sent my case to NVC. when I enter to NVC at cease.state.gov/IV. it shows that I need to pay fees. when I click the link I receive a server error due to Oracle processing. do you have this issue ? I have now one week with this issue, and I had already sent an inquiry.
please, I anderstand that many people are waiting and asking about PD. You can have them in my previous discussion
If you have the same issue let me know to know how they are processing, and if the website is troubleshooting or just for my case.

I-130 important question please I need help
hey guys I hope y’all doing good a couple months ago my wife case has been approved, she’s waiting for the interview, now my question is : my wife is pregnant for about 3 months , on this case how uscs or nvc manage this type of case , is the case gonna be delay or put in pause while she’s pregnant???

I-485 processing time/ employment (I-140/NIW)
let’s all of us share our experiences regarding to the I-485 processing time, after I-140 got approved.
I know that it’s depends to applicants location center, but at least will give us a range of time how long it will takes!
Toyota, I asked my attorney about it and he suppressed me actually. He said [based on our firm’s I-485 cases filed after I-140 approval and received their green cards in recent 6 months, on average they have waited 340 days to be scheduled for an interview. The longest waiting time is 1,003 days and the shortest waiting time is 141 days].
Pleas comment if you know your friends or colleagues that have already got their GC what the processing time was for their cases!
unable to pay NVC aplication
after having my I130 sprouted and received the welcome email from NVC. I logged in and it asks to pay fees, and when I click in the link I receive a server error

marriage based 130-485 approved this morning after interview yesterday afternoon.
PD was October 2020 and office was San Jose…so a fairly short process thankfully for us!
Interview was about 10-15 mins, very polite interviewer but no small talk, right down to business…and the questions that I can recall…
- how did you meet
- when did you meet
- first date
- when did it become serious
- who proposed
- names of spouses parents
- dates of births
then all the yes no questions.
