Had the interview yesterday and was approved on the spot. The interview took 40 minutes but what took the longest was the officer updating and scrolling through the documents on his computer. He only asked questions directed to me and not my husband. My online account hasn’t updated yet.

Sharing my timeline in case is helpful for anyone. I requested to expedite on my own during october and never heard back then in november I requested to expedite through my senator’s office and about a month later I received notification that the expedite I requested on my own was denied but my senator’s was approved and my case was being reviewed, that same day I received a notice indicating my card was being produced.

EAD GOT MAILED OUT TODAY ~ WOOHOO! 🎉
As some of you know, after a 2yr & 2 month wait, my Vawa was approved this month.
I got a notification today that my EAD was mailed out. I’m testing a few theories here:
1) I want to see if the EAD gets mailed to my address or my atty’s. My atty hasn’t been giving me my mail in a timely manner for whatever reason, so I submitted an AR-11 form (1wk ago, it may take longer to go into effect) so the most import documents ie: Approvals, EAD & GC will come directly to me, & I won’t have to make numerous inquiries through to the atty on whether she’s heard anything from USCIS. I’m not sure where the communication in breakdown went left, but this is my livelihood & I think it’s best I get all of my mail coming directly to me now.
2) I want to see how long it takes to actually receive documents like an EAD from when USCIS notifies us of doing so.
