Interview experience
Our appointment was at 9:25 am. We got there at 9:00am. We did the security check, took the elevator to the 2nd floor and dropped our interview notice into a box at the check-in window. We had a female USCIS officer who popped her head out as she walked the person before us out into the waiting room. She said she’ll be with us shortly and went back in. The couple that just finished their interview were talking about the wife now being official as they left which was reassuring. The USCIS officer came back and asked for my medical I-693 which I handed her.
My husband got called in first at 9:36 am and went in with our counsel. He came out in 20-25 minutes. He seemed really cool when he got out but he’s unfazed by most things. He shook me and said good luck in a scary voice lol.
I was then called in alone. She said the pic from biometrics was a really nice one and said “you go girl!” I took the oath and then was told they need a picture and fingerprints for ID. I gave my passport as ID. She asked if I had any other ID. I said no. She was firm but friendly and was looking at the screen most of the time. The computer was lagging and slow and she kept asking it to work and yelling at it throughout haha. In the end of the interview, she asked if we have any evidence to show – I gave her a whole evidence binder for her to keep. She said now I’m not gonna scan these (probably due to her computer issues). She flipped through the whole binder and started typing on her computer. She used my table of contents for reference which made me happy. She then asked our counsel if he’d told us about i751 which was great to hear. He said he usually tells clients after and she can tell me about it if she wants to. She said we should get the card in 1-2 weeks. She said our evidence binder was wonderful and to keep adding to it to show after 2 years. She then asked if my name was on the mail box lol. I didn’t know what to make of this and said no we only have the house number. She said I suggest that to avoid having the GC returned, I would tape your name on the mailbox since you didn’t change my name. If it’s returned, you gotta wait 3-5 months! She complimented our evidence binder again and asked if I had any questions. I said no and she walked us out to the waiting room.
Mistakes: I said 3 bedrooms instead of 4 – we don’t use one and I just forgot about it – silly me!
Hope this helps. Good luck to you all!
PS: Status is yet to change in the system.
Marriage-based (to US citizen) GC approved in 4 months!
hi everyone! had our interview yesterday in the Miami FO and got approved on the spot! officer was really nice and friendly, talked to us for about 40 minutes, but didn’t ask anything tricky (asked how we met, if we see our families a lot, asked about what I do for work, about our dogs, etc). She praised our package, said it was very well organized, did not ask to see any additional evidences.

Had the interview yesterday and was approved on the spot. The interview took 40 minutes but what took the longest was the officer updating and scrolling through the documents on his computer. He only asked questions directed to me and not my husband. My online account hasn’t updated yet.
To God be the glory great things he has done. It seemed like forever, so much so that my wife and I became, " anxious pea in a pod" My fellow neighbors I wish for you all a very same positive outcome
This app is not that bad I started off with the trial/free version then i decided to pay for it... The predictions were not bad.. I'm not advertising for "Lawfully" I've just stated my experience..
