FAFSA
Hi everyone! I need some advice. I have an approved VAWA case, and my green card is currently pending. I’m thinking about applying for FAFSA (federal student aid) to help with school, but I’m worried it might affect my green card process??
Has anyone in a similar situation applied for FAFSA? Did it cause any issues with your immigration process or green card? I’d really appreciate any insights!l
I received rfe (request for evidence) june 17 2024. after 10 days i sent my response. after that i dont get any update it almost 4 months now. Somebody tell me how much time it takes.

So here’s a small tip that may or may not help others:
(I am the petitioner for my wife’s case, so I’m speaking on her behalf)
Her biometrics were originally scheduled for the 30th, but we had plans to visit my family then, so we rescheduled.
turns out biometric appointments were plentiful and simply made the appointment the next day. I assume this greatly help speed up the approval.
Summary: see if you can schedule biometrics sooner than originally scheduled

Priority date was wrong by USCIS
My old priority date is 2016 but new I140 approval isnt appeared old date, so I can apply to get interview schedule as Visa bulettin is current. what should I do for this case? Please sharing! Thanks so much.
P/S: I already applied premium fee for I140 approval, anh then it was done, and sent to NVC for next step, but priority date was wrong so my lawyer had called it from NVC to USCIS for adjust the priority date but I was waiting from Sep 17, 2024 up to now but nothing was heard. 😭

hey everyone, my wife and I just realised she forgot to submit her divorce papers from her previous marriage when she filed the i130 and i130a while I was in Australia, does this matter? what should we do? I only thought we need them for the actual interview in my home country
