I-485 transferred to different field offices -EB1a principal and beneficiary

My spouse is primary applicant under Eb1-a and I’m the beneficiary. we both are under own H1B currently. my spouse case was transferred to Cleveland FO and mine to San Jose FO( local FO I guess?) . what could be the reason? we got to know this from Emma agent. will I have an interview? is it common for beneficiary having interview and not principal?

I have a question. Today I received a notification indicating that my i485 application was transferred to another office for processing. What does that mean? I filed my application in December 2022. My i360 has already been approved. Tengo una pregunta. Hoy recibí una notificación indicando que mi solicitud i485 fue transferida a otra oficina para su procesamiento. ¿Qué significa eso? Presenté mi solicitud en diciembre de 2022. Mi i360 ya fue aprobado.

Hello! Anyone that has filed l-130/l-485 concurrently this year at Chicago’s field office and has been approved can tell me how long did you wait for the l-485 approval after approval for the l-130?

hi, I am a daca recipient but I have received motion to recalander letter last month. it’s from back in 2013 which was administratively closed. anyone else experiencing this? Any DACA lawyer that can help for an appeal? recommendations for DACA lawyers in NYC. Thanks!!

Travelling with expired greencard

I have an expired greencard along with an I-797 notice clearly stating the extension of my greencard while allowing me to work and travel for an additional 48 months. yesterday I was scheduled to travel from JFK to Mumbai via Frankfurt as a layover. I was denied checking in to my flight at the airport stating that the extension letter is invalid and not honored by the German immigration authorities. I was told I could not transit in Germany at all in this situation. The airline personnel also mentioned that it would be okay if I took a Zurich layover instead. Has anyone had issues with other countries not honoring their greencard extension letters? Also has anyone had issues entering the United States thereafter with an expired greencard and an extension letter? Looking for urgent advice / insights / experiences!

Just really concerned about my case transfer from Dallas, TX to Vermont.

I submitted my case since May and I have not received any notice for Biometric and my husband decided to reach out was told by USCIS that the case has been transferred from TX to VT. Anyone with similar situation? I know VT is very slow with processing.

Adjustment of status for pending marriage, approved travel permit.... Help ??

I am waiting for approval of my I-485 adjustment of status with citizen husband we submit the documents in November 2023.... In November 2024 we went for an interview and they still don't give us an answer,,,, 8 months ago already from our interview…. I already have my travel permit since October 2024 and now in July 2025 they approved the travel permit for my daughter that they had not approved reason why I did not travel before and we want to use it to go to our country now that my daughter has it, is there someone who is with pending status adjustment and there used the travel permit in this administration that gives us his experience, why do we want to use it now ???

New card is being produced on July/23/2025. PD is Jan/09/2023 ROW (Japan) No RFE. Interview was waived. The waiting period is stressful but it won’t last forever.

I-485 timeline after I-140 approval?

Hi! My I-140 got approved yesterday (EB1 extraordinary ability). I'm now wondering how long it'll take for my I-485 to be approved. I filed it in May and already completed my biometrics a month before my I-140 approval. Any insights or experiences appreciated!
