Typo in my Last Name
Hey everyone,
I got my card delivered to my Lawyer today and I see a typo in my last name. we already requested a change in July and I also see a change in name request update on my 765 but bad luck looks like the name is still the same :(
my lawyer said they’re gonna send it back to uscis requesting the change. I’m so sad just when I thought things were going good this happened.
My main problem is I need it for employment verification. not sure if they will accept it with typo.
any suggestions?

N-400 interview
I had my N-400 interview scheduled for January 2, but I called USCIS and ask to reschedule. They canceled the interview since I’ll be out of the country. Does anyone know how long it typically takes USCIS to reschedule an interview? I’m hoping it won’t take longer than a month. Any insights or experiences would be appreciated!"
Vawa
Hello please I need explanation on this. I’m in removal proceedings and filed for Vawa in June 2024. My attorney just told me I can’t adjust status and get my work permit and social because I am in removal proceedings. Is anyone in this situation and please can I adjust status to get a social or work permit to work since things are becoming difficult for my kids and I. I need to work. thank you
All advice and ideas will be appreciated.
Upcoming Changes in Immigration Policies with the New Administration
I've spoken with a few attorneys I’ve worked with as paralegal and client to help break it down for you:
* Humanitarian Parole: Programs for certain countries may end, affecting new arrivals & current beneficiaries.
* Deportations: Increased focus on removals, especially for those with final orders. Know your rights before January 20th!
* Travel as Undocumented: Stricter TSA enforcement might affect options for flights or mobility for those who are undocumented.
* Asylum Interviews: A focus on the "last in, first out" system could mean faster interviews for new applicants.
* Green Card Applications: Potential delays and possible changes to the one-year waiting period before applying. (you might have to wait for 1 year like it used to be so APPLY ASAP if you’re eligible)
* More RFEs: Based on the previous 4 years of this administration, attorneys are expecting more RFEs on any little detail so make sure to triple check your forms before filing!
I’ll keep you guys posted as I get more info!
