Fingerprints Applied
My brain is exploding lol. PD is 4/2021, ROW. CPR until current in April 2025. On 04/23/2025, case went to “Fingerprints was applied to your case”. Case is at NBC. No RFE, multiple chats with Emma, service inquiry sent and received “Due to workload factor not related to your case, we anticipate a delay in completing your case” in May 2025. Congressmen inquiry also didnt seem to trigger them. Tier-2 call back request but they never call me lol.
Last chat I had with tier-1, they told me the officer looked at my case on 7/23/2025 and there is no red flag on my case or they dont need any document from me. Still, no action. Crying river LOL. When is this wait gonna be over..
🎉ADVANCE PAROLE APPROVED! Will get to travel back to my home after 8 years!!
Hi all,
My Combo card was approved last month after waiting an extra year just because of a typo. Anyways I’m excited to travel back but at the same time a bit skeptical because of Trump.
My attorney had advised to not travel but i can if i want to. But gave me a few suggestions.
- No travel more than 3 months ( I was planning a lil more but will plan for 3 months)
- Land during their office hours Mon-Fri
- If they cause any trouble ask for attorney.
I have a good record and have been paying taxes every year since my arrival to US.
What do you guys think about travel for 3 months or more?

Frustrated with my Attorney and not hopeful about case
So Saturday I had my call with my attorney office. In 4 year the only time I ever spoke to my attorney was the first consultation. After then I only speak with different people in the office.
I even found errors on the paperwork when they first sent it to USCIS. They put AK for Arkansas but Arkansas is AR and one place they even wrote out Alaska. I told them and they said it was not a problem.
Ok so now I have this new call with the attorney office. The call lasted 4 1/2 hours. She asked me all the same questions like before but wanted more evidence. I told her I don’t know what more they want I tell them everything. She keep telling me she needed more. I told her everything I could remember. One time she told me it was not enough. So today I have enother call with her this afternoon to go over more financial abuse.
I asked her on the call Saturday if I needed to make the appointment with the psychologist today but she told me not yet. She told me I have to wait until after my call with her today.
She is not much supportive now and make me feel like my case will not be strong enough.
I am very upset with my attorney office because if they don’t think I have a strong enough case why do they not tell me the truth 4 years ago. I am feeling like maybe they just take my money. I paid my attorney plus all the fees almost $17,000.
All I see my attorney do on social media is dance on her videos with her expensive bags and clothes and take fancy vacations.
She told me Saturday that USCIS is more strict now and are starting to decline more cases. I understand that but if my case wasn’t strong enough 4 years ago they should have told me the truth and not take my money.
I have a feeling my American Dream will end soon.

NO UPDATE AFTER NOID RESPONSE
It’s approaching 3 months since I sent in my NOID response by mail and there has been absolutely no update to say it was received. I have reached out to an attorney, I am wondering if I should proceed with attorney or wait it out to see if they’ll respond. my pd date is march 2023. I got the NOID right after my congressman reached out to them.
my case was finally approved
My interview was in Atlanta. I thought my case would be a bit more difficult and I was about to hire my lawyer to go with me to the interview — I’m glad I didn’t.
The interview was super easy. The officer only asked for our names and then went straight to the Yes and No questions from my I-485 form. It wasn’t complicated at all. She didn’t check any of our evidence.
I wasn’t approved on the spot; they just gave me a paper saying they were going to continue working on my case. But the next day, my I-130 was approved, and the day after that, my I-485 was approved too.
I’m currently waiting for my green card to arrive, but all I can say is: trust your process. Everything will come when it’s meant to. Best of luck to everyone!

L1a extension - abroad or U.S.?
hi! looking for POV/advice here.
In the process of filing for L1A extension (Expires on dec 2025) - EB1C GC i-485 currently pending. two scenarios:
-file for extension within the US (Lawyers are highlighting the fact that USCIS is being more strict and there’s more scrutiny for employment based cases, and denials and RFEs are more common (in case of denial i guess i will still be protected by the pending i485)
-go abroad and stamp in the consulate, which apparently is more easy, but if i leave and extension gets denied i will be stuck abroad without being able to come back in
any experiences? how true is it that USCIS is deniying more L1 extensions and cases?
