Documentarily Qualified Question
Hi everyone,
My EB2 NIW petition was approved in February 2024, and I received an email from the NVC that says I became documentarily qualified in May 2024.
I added my newborn to the application recently, and I have already sent all the required payments and supporting documentation to the NVC.
Now my question is, does anyone know if the recent addition of my baby will change the date I became documentarily qualified (DQ) and potentially delay our interview date OR will the DQ date remain the same?
My understanding is that the US Consulates schedule interview on a first come, first serve basis when a case becomes current (i.e., they use the DQ date)
For context, my priority date is August 2023, and I'm not residing in the US.
Here is the latest information on the website of the US Consulate Office in Montreal:
"As of March 3, 2025, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in November 2024; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in January 2025; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in March 2024."
Green card
Today, I am officially a Green Card holder! This journey has been long and challenging—I’ve been through so much mentally and emotionally, even facing hospitalization multiple times. I started this process on September 21, and today, I finally got my Green Card approved without an interview. I want to thank all of you for your support, guidance, and encouragement. I truly appreciate it.#485

I-751 Vermont
Married to citizen. Filed I-751 together. Applied from Ilinois, Currently in Vermont Service Center. I understood its going to be a long ride, I would like to know types of cases and their timelimes. Originally from India, as Indians do not have dual citizenship, I have mixed feelings about N-400. As our marriage is legit and happy, not worrying about the removal of conditions, but the waiting period is kind of worrying. Any advices/concerns?

denial
Good morning everyone, I've been married for over two years and attended two immigration interviews, the first one regular and the second a waiver. After two years, I received a denial due to interview discrepancies and lack of evidence (the usual reason), so I still haven't received the I-130s that explain why my cases were denied. The problem is that the 33 days allowed for an appeal have passed (and still we didn't receive any I130). But without the I-130, I understand there's not much I can do. My question is: Can I resubmit my I-130? At this point in my marriage, I have much more evidence. Unfortunately, our financial situation wasn't very good at first, so we had a rental agreement, properties, or something in our names. But things have improved a lot. It hasn't been easy; it's been a dark road. The lawyer recommends we wait until our court date arrives. But what about being illegal all this time, given everything that's going on? Has anyone been through something similar? (Please refrain from responding nonsensically; we're not having a good time.) Thanks.
Finally!!Thank you Lord
My husband's interview was scheduled March 17th. He went but had to reschedule because he laminated our marriage certificate and birth certificate. Panic set in...I had to rush to Barbados to bring another original, stayed 4 days and head back to work. I was able to reschedule him for this morning at 8. Only availability for this week. He got approved. They told him check his email, in 2 to 3 days. God is great. He called me at 8:17 to say he was approved.
Questions: Where did we meet, if I have kids, whats my daughfers name. Any other relatives live in the U.S? Only asked for his police record and marriage certificate. This site kept me going. God is great.
i130 approved and i485 moved to actively being reviewed. it’s been a week anyone has any idea or a suggestion trying not to freak out

Processing time
If you’ve been waiting for a NVC interview, USCIS approval, or adjustment of status for a long time, I recommend contacting a congressman from your state. They can help inquire with the immigration authorities and check the reason for the delay. Many applicants have successfully accelerated their processes this way. Don’t hesitate to explore this option for faster responses about your case!
