Eugenie COct 21, 2025
@I H yes, but doesn’t it give the defendants a reason to file a motion to dismiss, claiming that the processing time is not over?

@vi_34567 345 @Marvin Mejia An immigration attorney told me if the prinicpal asylee adjust the status to LPR and if their beneficiary has pending I730 in US , USCIS will deny the pending i730 because the principal asylee no longer holds the asylum status to adjudicate the i730 petition . do you have any knowledge on this ?
vi_34567 345Oct 24, 2025
@Angel K that is not correct if the principal asylee becomes permanent resident and the I-730 was filed before he or she become resident the I-730 shall continue because I-730 was filed before adjusting status don’t worry you’ll be fine !!! keep waiting
Angel KOct 24, 2025
@vi_34567 345 thanks a lot for clarification
Marvin MejiaOct 24, 2025
I've never heard that. All I know is that you have to file the I-730 within the first 2 years.
and logically the I-730 is submitted before your change of status.
