APPROVED (Please read before asking to avoid repeating info)
First of all, I would like to thank the community here at Lawfully.
THANK YOU ALL!
You all have been very helpful since the beginning since I started all this process back in 2020 when I started just to begin with my recopilation of all my information to start a case for an EB1 or an EB2 NIW that I didn't know at the time. So I'm just sharing what I think I can, and I will be around for a little more as a way of retribution for all the information I've got here and as a way of saying thank you to all the people that might not be even anymore in the app that helped me in the beginning to get to the point I am now.
ROW EB-2 NIW (not from 70+ restricted countries, won’t disclose more). Worked with lawyer start-to-finish (90% my work—know my case best).
• Lawyers reuse templates/letterheads across cases and make human errors; clients must review/correct everything.
I have an MD/PhD with 10+ years research experience, 30+ high-impact publications (~1,000 citations), 2 books, 1 book chapter, 1 patent, and 9 expert recommendation letters.
My Timeline:
- **Nov 2023**: Priority date
- **Oct 10, 2025**: Filed I-485 (IOE093416XXXX)
- **Jan 16, 2026**: Silent API updates (FTA0)
- **Jan 17, 2026 (1:29 PM EST)**: **DOUBLE H008** - Card Being Produced
- **Jan 18, 2026**: Approval Notice
• Please Use REDDIT, to know about the CODES, what is API?, etc. (I did that my self and learned there everything about that)
ps. I’ll try to answer the messages related to EB2-NIW, the best I can, for some time, and keep adding that info in the original post to clear any doubts.
• I don’t disclose Lawfirm or Lawyers
• I know very little but I’ll share what I can only about my EB2-NIW.
Thank you for understanding.
Hello to all , my case since July 12, 2024 has not been approved yet.
Does anyone knows how long it takes to get a decision on a case after submission of Evidence of Reference? It has been 97days since my REF was submitted and this has make my case like forever. Eventhough my country is on the banned list, does this means no i-130 will be approved?
I751 filed jointly in January 2025. Getting divorced and switching to waiver based on divorce this month. Nebraska office
Hi
Can you share your experience if you filed Jointly I751 then switched to waiver based on divorce?
My case is at Nebraska office.
I am getting divorced and I feel disappointed and desperate.
When we filed jointly we submitted a lot of evidence ( taxes, joint accounts, credit cards, auto insurance, driver licenses, life insurance, dental insurance, car registration, car title, pictures, emergency contact forms, letters of support from friends, flight tickets, hotel reservations, restaurant reservations, cinema/shows/museum tickets, gift receipts, gym membership, Costco membership, fishing licenses family account, bills, lease, HOA forms)
Now I have to switch to a divorce waiver.
what should I expect?

CR 1 visa waiting for interview letter from Mumbai, India
Hi,
NVC approved our case Oct 29th, 2025. I heard it usually takes about 2.5 months to get the interview letter. When looking at the website it still shows they are scheduling cases approved from Sept 2025. Anyone here that got approved in October started getting interview letters yet?
physical exam
i just did my physical exam i can apply for my I485 and I765. How long did you guys' exam take? what did the doc do/exam? What questions did they ask?.... and how much did it cost. Mine was a total charge of $425. could have been $50 cheaper but they had to draw a titer for chicken pox.
I-485 online
I was looking at the USCIS website and saw that you can file Form I-485 online. You have to upload the form as a PDF, and then it guides you through submitting the other required documents, such as passport photos, birth certificate, etc.
I was reading on the same USCIS website that you can file Form I-485 online while you are inside the U.S.
( I already submitted the I-130 online, I got the receipt by mail in one week, it was very easy, I woukd like to do the same with the I-485)
Has anyone done it this way?
