EB1A isn't about checking the boxes to meet at least three criteria but to meet the final merits determination. For example, USCIS clearly says it that being the first author is of significant evidence that you are among the top person in your field, *especially if the person is the most significant contributor to the published article, a senior author, or the sole author of the article;* and publishing in *particularly highly-ranked journals (including published conference proceedings) relative to other journals in the field, as demonstrated by, for example, evidence the petitioner provides regarding the journal’s impact factor* demonstrates that the person is among the small percentage at the top of the field.
