so I applied for vawa from 2020 of October,get approved in November of 2023,sent my medical from December of 2023 ,I went on ap to my country in December of 2023 for my mom’s funeral,now I lost my dad am still at the same spot no word on the green card.i went for interview in nj in July they said my file was here in ct they would call me in about two to three weeks still nothing yet but am hoping and praying I will be approved so I can go pay my last respects to my dad later this month.😭😭😭😭

sorry for your loss i will suggest you to make a appointment with uscis take death certificate with you and ask them if they can approve you there instead of waiting

I am sorry for your loss I have no words, make appointment with uscis and explain everything to them and yeah get your father’s death certificate and take it with you, sorry again for your loss may Allah give him jannah, Ameen, my father was passed away few years ago and I wasn’t able to go back my country for his funeral that was heartbroken for me,

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I also lost my parents 6 years ago and couldn't go to say goodbye. At that time, I was still married to my abusive ex-husband. And to this day I haven't been able to return to my country to be with my family. I need to wait for my VAWA application to be approved. All of this is very difficult; only God can give us strength. 🙏🏼I hope everything works out. Be strong!
