I-131 Approval Timeline
Just wanted to share with you guys. Today I finally got my AP document by mail.
Although I submitted biometric data on August 31st, 2021 they attached fingerprints only August 19th, 2022.
And between August 19 and May 25 I made THREE e-requests because the case was outside normal processing time...
698 days. It was really long journey, yep 😬

Wife I-765
Hi Everyone,
I have a question to whoever was in a similar situation.
I just received my notice that my I-765 and I-131 have been approved while my I-485 is pending.
My wife is also waiting for her I-765 and I-131 while pending my I-485. How long until she receives her approval if I have been approved today?
I have received my GC today!
Dear friends,
I would like to take a moment to share some words of encouragement to those who are currently waiting for their cases to be approved. I know firsthand how difficult and uncertain this process can be, but I want to remind you that it's important to remain hopeful and positive.
It's easy to get overwhelmed by the waiting and wondering, but try not to let the stress and anxiety consume you. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and trust in the process. Keep in mind that every case is unique, and progress may come at its own pace.
Today, I received my green card after a year process. I have studied film for 4 years and I have been on O1 visa for six years in this country. So the 11 years journey of my life. This news has brought me immense joy and a newfound sense of freedom. I want to remind those who are still waiting that this too shall pass, and the moment when you receive your approval will be a remarkable one. Until then, stay patient, remain hopeful, and never lose sight of your dreams.
Wishing you all the best,
BUILDING CONCERN on RFE
My RFE is fot my wife's and joint sponsor's W2 and Income Tax returns. I forwarded the information to my attorney and she called me back saying that I do not need to send on the joint sponsor's tax documents because my wife and I filed together and we make very good monies. My concern is not sending my joint sponsor's documents when I know they are requesting it. I assume my attorney is the expertise here, but I want to know if anyone had shares such experience.
what do you think this message from Emma means?
‘your case (my I-485) is going through necessary processing checks that have to be completed blah blah…. Your case is with the New York field office. the last updates were on 5/15/2023 and the case is in the final stages of processing at this time’
does anyone know what this means or have you heard anything like it before? does that mean my i-485 could be processed soon? my work authorization expires in 7 weeks so im very stressed about losing my job but that message could let me get my hopes up so if anyone has had it before please let me know

big change in processing time
The estimated wait time on my USCIS website for our I-130petition just changed from 9 months (last week) to 3 months today. it still says 16 months for 80% of cases to be decided.
Today is 180 days since we filed. Since then, our case has said actively reviewing since 8 December. it still says 8 December on myuscis.
Has anyone else noticed a big drop in processing time for US citizen filing for a spouse? Our case is for consular processing, not concurrent.

Question regarding CR1 visa case
Hello,
I hope you're all doing well, and that all of your cases are processed urgently and successfully.
I have a couple of questions for you all with which I would really appreciate your insights and feedback.
My husband is a US citizen and also my petitioner for the CR1 visa. We have also been documentarily qualified. He has Major Depressive Disorder that hasn't yet been clinically confirmed, but we are certain as all of the DSM-5 symptoms have been met.
On top of all of this, he was recently laid off from his job, as a result of which he's under even more terrible stress and duress.
I have the following two questions:
1: on the basis of him not having a job at this time as well as lacking funds for financial support, can our case be cancelled?
2: would it be possible for our case to be expedited on these basis, so that I can go be with my husband during this difficult time?
Processing time changed
Hi all,
i have i130 standalone in process. my case status is still received but today when I logged into my uscis account my processing time changed from 8 months to just 3 months. I am having hard time believing it.
Did anyone else saw the reduced processing time?
my service center is potomac.
