differed action
Approximately 61 days ago, my VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) self-petition was approved, accompanied by a deferred action notice of 15 months. This development in my case was a significant relief, yet I remain in the uncertain territory regarding my I-485, the Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
As of today, it's been 1,333 days since my I-485 was scheduled for an interview, and unfortunately, there has been no update or progress on this front. This extensive waiting period seems odd and has prompted some worry.
Furthermore, I have yet to receive any update indicating that my Permanent Resident Card (commonly known as a Green Card) is being produced following the VAWA approval. I am aware, from discussions with many of you, that it is relatively common to receive such updates roughly two weeks after VAWA approval.
I am left wondering if there is something I need to be doing, something I might have overlooked, or if this is just the process running its course and I need to be patient. The waiting and not knowing can be challenging, especially when everyone around me seems to have had different experiences.
So, I am reaching out to ask if anyone else has experienced a similar situation? Do I need to take any action at this point? Any advice or guidance from your own experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Upgrading to premium processing
Hello again Lawfully community,
I submitted the I-907 form to upgrade my EB-2 NIW case to premium processing, USPS confirmed delivery of the package on 7/20/23, however the status of my case has not changed nor USCIS charged my card.
Is this normal? How long does USCIS takes to start processing the premium processing, and when dosa the clock starts to count.
Thanks!
It's time to leave. My journey is getting to the end.
To all those patiently waiting for their immigration process to be approved, remember that hope is a powerful force that can carry us through the toughest of times. The journey may be challenging, but your determination and resilience will prevail. Believe in the strength of your dreams and the path you've chosen. Trust that, in time, your efforts will bear fruit, and new opportunities will unfold. Keep the faith alive, for brighter days are on the horizon. Stay strong.
See you guys back on my I-400 application.
Change of address
Anyone with experience on changing address for GC application.
Would you change it if you were on this situation?
Got my Combo Card in May and now moving to a different city to work. Also one of my friends will be living in my current address and I will still have access to my mail.
I just don’t know if changing it will cause a delay on process.
vawa I-360 card produced
Hello everyone, I just saw updates on my vawa I-360 and it says we July 26, 2023, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EACxxxxxxxx and will mail it to the address you gave us.
Does that means my vawa has been approved,?
