differed action
Approximately 61 days ago, my VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) self-petition was approved, accompanied by a deferred action notice of 15 months. This development in my case was a significant relief, yet I remain in the uncertain territory regarding my I-485, the Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. As of today, it's been 1,333 days since my I-485 was scheduled for an interview, and unfortunately, there has been no update or progress on this front. This extensive waiting period seems odd and has prompted some worry. Furthermore, I have yet to receive any update indicating that my Permanent Resident Card (commonly known as a Green Card) is being produced following the VAWA approval. I am aware, from discussions with many of you, that it is relatively common to receive such updates roughly two weeks after VAWA approval. I am left wondering if there is something I need to be doing, something I might have overlooked, or if this is just the process running its course and I need to be patient. The waiting and not knowing can be challenging, especially when everyone around me seems to have had different experiences. So, I am reaching out to ask if anyone else has experienced a similar situation? Do I need to take any action at this point? Any advice or guidance from your own experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I was laughing as I was reading. did you study literature in school? your write up shifted my mind from the point you are trying to pass or ask. Nice write up though. just try to tune the English down so that everyone can understand and not stress their head to get the message.lol

@ola Sola Firstly congratulations on your Vawa approval. I got approved Dec 13 2022 as well and up till date no update on my i485 which will be 8 months by August 13th after Vawa approval. Also the Deffered Action is simply a document stating you can’t be deported out of the United States since you have an approved VAWA so it only says renew it if need be but before 15 months you will have your i485 approved. Nothing to really worry about you’re still on the good route
