I-485 - Married to Legal Permanent Resident
Hello,
Is there anyone here who filed in June 2022 and waiting for their GreenCard. My spouse is a legal permanent resident who filed for me. I asked Emma and I keep getting response that my case is at NBC.
my i-130 is already approved in May 2023 but waiting for i-485 approval. my case was at field office since Feb 2023

Advance Parole taking too long?
Hello, I’m still within the normal time, case submitted May 02, 2022. fingerprints updated on the case on Aug 20. (taken in June).
EAD approved about 1 year ago.
On April I requested an emergency permit to make a business trip relevant to my NIW project and it was approved. Officer told me they should have approved both at the same time, he thought it was a mistake they didn’t do that and I should call them.
I have an important personal trip coming at the end of October. Anything I can do?
I-140 was approved 12 days ago. now only waiting on I-485 to request medicals. and my Advance Parole.

Proof of Bonafide Marriage
I’m submitting I-130 petition for my wife soon. We are living separately in different countries . What proofs I can submit to avoid any future RFES ? I have gathered the following so far:
- Signed cover letter
- 3 affidavit letters from close family members
- Lots of photos (wedding, honeymoon, post marriage trips etc).
- Receipt and some photos of a travel together (under my name )
- Money transfer/financial support records
- Proof of communications (chats, audio & video calls)
- Employer sponsored life insurance beneficiary
- Retirement accounts (401k, Roth) beneficiary
- Receipt of plane tickets for next visit (Dec 2023)
- Authorized credit card user letter
- Listed as emergency contact
As we are living separately, I don’t have any joint bank accounts/utility bills/lease/etc. Can you guys suggest if I should include anything else to provide enough evidence of our bonafide marriage ? Thanks a lot for any advice .
i130 Approved in 11 months
today I got my i130 approval! almost 11 months to the day. it has felt impossible and long. I know many have waited longer, but if you’re in the process you know how long it can take or feels like it taking.
now I wait for the next step. but I feel like it should go by much faster! so if you’re waiting, don’t give up hope! your day is coming. :)
