Medical RFE while in the mist of major struggles
hey y’all! I’m just looking for any advise anyone can offer… my medical RFE is due by no later than October 12th. hubby recently had court for child support and apparently making $15/hour made the judge feel like he could afford $600 a month for one child, which has quite literally put us in a position where we can’t afford anything other than our bills… anyone know of anything that can be done in a situation like this? is there anyone whose had a similar situation and managed to get the medical fees waived? I know I probably sound stupid but I’ve been here in the USA since Feb of last year, so this is now my home… but if I don’t figure it out in time they start deportation and I guess with Canadian citizens at least, being deported also comes with being barred from entry to the USA for 10 years 🤦🏼♀️ I’m at an absolute loss!! any advise or prayers etc are seriously appreciated 🤍

No update on my H1B petition for more than a year.
H1B petition filed with Vermont center in July 2022, and status shows reviewing since then. Futher case, phone follow up with Vermont center did not yield any attention. Anyone had similar problem ?

hi there,
My VAWA journey is over now. Went to the interview today (8/16/2023) at Santa Ana FO, CA. After 15 mins of interviewing, my lawyer and I was asked to wait outside for the officer to do the background check and go through everything. She asked us to fill in the I-864W form while waiting. We filled it in real quick and submitted it for the officer. After the other 45 mins of waiting, she brought us the approval notice.
Don't lose hope 🤞 this journey isn't easy for anyone so your turn will come!

RFE response time… updated?
got an RFE on July 25th, they wanted my joint sponsors updated tax returns. Had all my info sent to them online on August 2nd, they acknowledged reciept on August 3rd that they recieved my RFE response. Today, August 16th, they updated it one more time. everything is exactly the same except instead of August 3rd, it says 16th. what does this mean? nothing is updated under documents either.

Our application got retained, submitting I-824
USC filed I-130 for spouse and got approved after 11 months but in the application we mistakenly chose both Adjustment of Status and Consuler Processing, so our petition got approved but retained, asked to submit I-824 to send to NVC which costs another $465. A simple mistake is gonna cost us dearly.
Any idea how long it would take? anybody in the same boat?
