interview at Djibouti embassy and the DS-5535
hello all
I am currently waiting to get an interview appointment. but I just want to know ahead of time. is the DS-5535 important? do I have to submit it to CEAC or bring it with me to the interview? most men (husbands) who got interviewed at the US embassy in Djibouti was placed in AP due to missing of DS-5535 form.
What if? No acknowledgment from FO of receiving my RFE?
This is what if and I need to know what I need to do.
So I filed I-360 (as a widow), I-765 and I-485 in December 2022.
I-360 and I-765 have NOT been approved yet.
2 months ago, my I-485 got transferred to Boston Office, not my local office since I live in Georgia.
I sent medical RFE and it was delivered a month ago. However, there is no acknowledgment of them receiving it. I have a USPS receipt of their zip code and delivery notice from USPS. I contacted USCIS last week and there is no confirmation of receiving my medical at Boston Field Office.
My deadline for this medical RFE is October 2. What if they didn’t scan my medical RFE at the office and this deadline passed and I get a denial notice just because they did not open the envelope and scan it in to attach to my file?
Do I have option to appeal and reopen my I-485 case using my USPS delivery notice?
How often does this kind of thing (you sent RFE yet they didn’t scan and USCIS thinks we never submit our RFE and deny?)
If I put in service request stating that I mailed our RFE but I have not received acknowledgment of receiving it, so they notate on my case that I have sent my RFE? How does it work?
Yes it is still a way to my deadline, but I would like to plan ahead just in case. All I need is their confirmation from Boston Field Office.
