DO I NEED THE OFFICIAL APPROVAL NOTICE OF MY GREENCARD?
Hi everyone. I have a question - my greencard based on marriage was approved in July. However, we only got the courtesy notice of approval and the physical greencard. Seems the official notice of approval was sent to our lawyer’s office.
My lawyer is not responding to us anymore about us dropping by so we can get the copy from their office.
Now I’m not sure - but will I even need that for my future journey to I-751 and Citizenship? Or is having my physical GC enough?

i-130 standalone taking forever
Are they others going through this ? USCIS says my case was at the CA Service Center ( which takes 14.5 months as processing time) and got moved to Cleveland FO. How do you get hold of a FO about your case? what should i do ?

EAD was approved !
My EAD was approved last week and I just knew it when I checked on USCIS website. Here’s the timeline for sharing.
20 Jun, 2023 : Priority Date/ USCIS received the case
23 Jun, 2023 : USCIS texted the receipt number
30 Jun, 2023 : USCIS updated Biometric Appointment
21 Jul, 2023 : Case was updated for Biometric
21 Jul, 2023 : Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS
14 Aug, 2023 : EAD was approved

long story short, I just logged into my uscis account, to see if there where something new, approval found under doc tab, sent date is 08/21/23, that is tomorrow. and today is our wedding anniversary 🥺🥺 best gift ever! I can not believe!

RFE sent and RFE Canceled same day/time message?
I recived an RFE on February 22nd and responded.
Now I recived a mail on august 19th saying that
“We have cancelled the request for additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.”
same time and same day I received
“Request for Additional Evidence Was Sent”
when I checked on online account under USCIS notice/document I can see an old RFE(which is sent on February 22nd)There is no new RFE notice on august 19th.
thing is my case status showing RFE sent on 19th ?
anybody experienced like this?
EMERGENCY AP- MY TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
I just got back from Canada and the process was smooth. Got an Emergency AP to travel for work. I left the country 7 days ago. please note that you will probably not be able to check in online due to your status. I checked in at the airport, showed my passport and EAD and I was allowed to Board. Entering into Canada wasn’t an issue either. I came back today. I was processed into the US at the Canadian Border. When I got to the immigration officer at the Calgary Airport, I was told my AP needed to be stamped and I was asked to sit in a waiting area with some other travelers. About 10mins after, an officer took us to a secondary processing area and my name was called. the Officer was very nice and courteous. He asked what time my flight was and said he needed to quickly process me. He stamped my AP, gave me a copy and wished me safe travel. I didn’t have to go through Border agency when I got to the US. it was like a local flight. Hope this helps. Use the freaking AP. This country has laws, and the system works according to law.

What if I-485 gets denied……what about I-360?
So here is my situation and I would like your input.
I submitted I-360 (as a widow), I-765 and I-485 in December 2022.
My I-360 and I-765 have NOT BEEN APPROVED yet since my I-765 is C31 category.
My I-485 got transferred to Boston FO a couple of month ago. Boston FO is not my local field office. I live in another state.
Boston FO requested my medical and I sent it. It was delivered over a month ago yet there is no confirmation that they received it. I called USCIS but there is no confirmation on their system either.
My deadline for this medical RFE is October 2.
I mailed exact same medical RFE to Boston since there is no movement for 30 days via FedEx this time. I have to wait and see if I get confirmation from Boston FO.
What if my I-485 gets denied because of they never scanned in my medical RFE?
What will happen to my I-360?
Can they still approve my I-360 after denial of I-485?
Do I need to submit all I-360, I-765 and I-485 again after denial? I heard refile applications are easier than filing I-290b to appeal their decisions.
I-360 has two year window after the date of a spouse’s death. So it’s not like I have plenty of time left.
Please shine some lights and give me advice so I will know what to expect and what I need to do.
