i-131 expedite denied without request for evidence
Hello, I tried to expedite my I-131 because my father back home is gravely ill. My request was denied twice. - The first time, they denied it because I hadn't done the biometrics yet. I received the explanation below in their email: The status of this service request is: We received your request for expedited processing. We are unable to expedite your application at this time because we still need to collect your biometrics. When you receive your biometric services appointment notice, you may go to the appointment location on an earlier date than scheduled to see if they can collect your biometrics at that earlier date. If they are able to accommodate you, they may do so. Once we have collected your biometrics, you may resubmit your expedite request. The second time, they denied without even asking me for evidence. Here's what I received The status of this service request is: We received your request for expedited processing, but we will not accommodate that request. Based on a review of your request, your case does not meet one or more of the expedite criteria or otherwise merits expedited processing. We review all expedite requests on a case-by-case basis, and we accommodate them at the sole discretion of the agency. Here's my timeline: * Nov 17: USCIS received I-485, I-131, I-140, I-765 * Dec 11: made expedite request for I-131 on the phone. denied a few hours later because no biometrics * Dec 22: Biometrics appointment for I-485 and I-765 * Dec 22: New expedite request submitted via Emma for I-131 (was submitted under the same request number * Dec 28: Expedite request for I-131 denied What can I do? Not sure if that matters but biometrics only appear to be taken for I-485 and I-765, they don't show up for I-131 but I thought they'd reuse the same. My application is in Nebraska. I am really upset that they didn't even ask for proof, I had all the evidence ready with letters from my father's doctors etc. Would appreciate anyone's insights on this! Thank you!

All hope relies on this. Tough time going through.
Promised to be back home for my brother's wedding and it's been a year since he is married. Lost my near cousin and couldn't attend his funeral. couldn't attend my sister's wedding. I don't know what am I going to loose or gain again. Hope I can see my family soon. It's been more than 3 years since I hugged my mom and dad but it Feels like haven't seen them in my life. Din really meant to post this but I made to watch a movie today about immigrants and it just killed me with emotion. I really hope all of us will get an approval soon. All good time of life is just ending day by day. I submitted all documents to my lawyer on July 2022 and he forgot to file our case until Jan 2023.Me and my wife had no idea on this until I found out this Lawfully application and then re enquired about my case status on dec 22 and then only he told us that in order to file my case I need a joint sponsor. we found a joint sponsor who is our common friend and then submitted the document and my lawyer filed it finally. Craziest part is he forgot again to add my joint sponsor document with the filing. USCIS gave rfe on joint sponsor and then he submitted it online and since then I am here looking in the sky for flying colours. Just because of somebody else fault am here waiting without any hope.
