had interview on may 20th 2025, status says interview was scheduled!
asked basic questions about relationship prior to marriage and then the I-485 yes and no question. she did asked where I currently worked and my mothers date of birth was incorrect on the form. she made note of this and then she
said the interview was completed and handed us a paper which said interview completed and the they need more time to review our case. finally she said if we need anything we will mail you or else you should have your case decision soon. any body in the similar situation?

🌿✨ Prayer for Immigration Approval ✨🌿
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with humble hearts, lifting up every person waiting for their immigration approval. You know the tears we’ve cried, the papers we’ve filed, the long nights of worry, and the heavy weight of uncertainty.
Lord, open the doors that no one can shut. Touch the hearts of the officers reviewing our cases, and let mercy, compassion, and favor be upon every file. Let every delay be broken, every mistake corrected, and every barrier removed in Your Name.
We declare approval, acceptance, and victory — not by our own strength, but by Your power. Strengthen us to keep faith until the day the good news arrives. And when it does, let our testimony shine as proof that You are faithful and true.
Bless our families, bless our journeys, and bless this new chapter we are stepping into.
In Jesus’ mighty Name we pray,
Amen. 🙏✨
anyone stopped by ICE with just combo card, no green card? what happened?
I’m kinda freaking out and just wanna fact-check this with people who know. So my parents are traveling to see me for a few weeks. They’ve got 10-year visas, they’ve always followed the rules, visiting once or twice a year for short stays. Me, I’m under adjustment of status right now, waiting on my green card. I don’t have it yet, but I do have my combo card (work/travel authorization with my A-number on it). I’ve always felt secure, I’m not in removal proceedings. But now, with everything going on in the country, I’m nervous. We plan to drive from DC to NC in a rental car and I keep worrying: what if there’s a checkpoint, or if ICE pulls us over? I’ve heard stories that if you don’t have a green card or citizenship, they can just detain you, even if you have pending adjustment (I’m under VAWA and pending 485). That would be devastating for my parents to witness. I’m debating if I should cancel the drive, take Amtrak instead, or just go for it. Part of my fear is, we don’t blend in as white/European-looking citizens, and I’m worried that makes us more of a target. Has anyone here with pending adjustment (no green card yet) actually been stopped on a road trip? What happened? Is it safe to drive, or am I overthinking?
Thanks in advance.
USCIS response to Congressman RIDICULOUS
This is what the congressman’s office received as a response about my USC spouse’s inquiry into out standalone i-130 pending over 19 months:
USCIS service records indicate your constituent's Form I-130 was received on January 19, 2024. The case is under the jurisdiction of the XXX field office and is currently pending review and possible interview scheduling. The current processing time for stand-alone I-130 petitions for all field offices is approximately 68.5 months. The petition is within normal processing time. Once the case has been reviewed, the constituent will receive a notice of action or decision at the address on file. We are unable to determine when the case will be reviewed and adjudicated. Please inform the constituent to keep their address current with USCIS. If your constituent moves, they must submit a Form AR-11, Change of Address. For more information about address changes, please visit our Web site at https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange, and click on "Change Your Address Online."
We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.
First of all, we filed in February 2024 so I don’t understand where they got January from.
Receipt says Texas Service Center. I assume they CAN transfer it to field office… but 68.5 months???
We are not going through consular processing, as I am here living in the US with my spouse. I have an old pending court case for asylum through my previous spouse which was since separated and transferred to my new state’s court (10+ years pending), which can complicate things, but this all seems so off. I understand they can say and do whatever they want without any reason…
Anybody else in this/similar situation?
I have a lawyer who is also unable to say/do anything.
I guess i’m glad my court case is not moving since at least i’m not being ordered removed, but this waiting is just too much.
widower petition I485 interview
I’m having an interview next week, My I360 is still pending. I just want to get this done cause I’m tired already, my husband died, my case( I130)was Denied cause they said I told them at the interview that he came home at 5:30am and he said 4:30am, I was asleep when he came home that morning , he was out doing DoorDash and he added his name on the lease late and that was because he wasn’t able to rent an apartment cause of his record. I just want to go back home….i don’t know if I will be able to come back to the US…. I missed him a lot and talking about him next week, I don’t think I can handle that yet….. I cry every chance I get, Barely making it through the day….. 593days that he passed, and the pain is still fresh like it happened this week. #just thinking out loud cause I don’t have who I can talk to.
No Biometrics appointment scheduled yet
I applied for I-485 Family Based Green card adjustment and received the receipt number on 7/17/2025. Till date, my biometrics appointment is not scheduled yet. I was wondering if USCIS always sets up biometrics appointment for I-485 Family Based adjustment cases? I would really appreciate it if somebody can share their own experience with the same situations as mine. Thank you!
