I would like to know if I can renew these my self I’m so scare I don’t know what to do my lawyer charging me 3,000$ dollars plus the applications fee. I’ve applied for VAWA
Vawa approval after 3 plus years
after so many years my Vawa is finally approved. all praises belong to God 🥺. I applied for Vawa in sep 2020 and on February 27 (last month) I receive an update that “name was updated” on my Vawa case. two days ago my attorney called me that he received my approval. just wanted to share this info because I know the anxiety and depression that comes with waiting and this info can give others hope. if you’re waiting just hold on a little longer. I only received two prima facie for the entire process. I was able to stay in status with my work permit because they had held my old i485 in abeyance . weeks before my Vawa was approved I received a 5 year work permit and yesterday my advance parole was approved as well. for those who have already obtain their green card through Vawa …. what is next for me ? and how long does it usually takes ?

Hello Guys,
In November 2023, My case was updated to show that no one appeared for in person processing. But I didn’t received any notice from USCIS on the mail. So I called them right away and they requested an inquiry. I was told to wait for 60 days for the notice/decison, which I did and it’s now more than 60 days and still haven’t heard anything from them yet.
What is the best way to deal with this? What should I do?
This is depressing. The waiting is exhausting and devastating.💔

celebrating my husband’s green card
It took 8 months, but we finally got green card. We were concerned because the approval for 485 was the same date we were moving to a new apartment. While we changed the new residence that day with UCIS and USPS, the green card was sent to the old address. Luckily we were able to get it.

Filed concurrently, and within just under a month my I-485 case has been transferred to another office. Is this a good sign?
I understand my priority date (Dec 15 2022) is not current relative to the final action date (Sept 08 2022)
But I'm still surprised that my I-485 was just transferred to another office. I always heard Nebraska service center (LIN) was a blackhole.
When my priority date becomes current, do you think my I-485 will be approved soon after?
I know a lot of this is speculation but I was curious to hear others' opinions. Thanks.
