background check
I am waiting from long time. I also sent this year joint taxes documents to immigration. When i talk to my lawyer he said he can not do anything. He told me its not field office. they need clearance from FBI. My record is clean and idk what they check in FBI background records. Lawyer kept telling me that you need to wait and FBI need to do background check. Its been 5month interview is completed and idk whats going on with case. If anyone knows what FBI check in background check and how long they take. Please comment.

help advice needed
Today is day 932 since we filed. I was told I can only get a case enquiry in April 2025. by that time it will have been 3 years since I filed. my case has been at my local FO since September last year I can't get help for anyone in Utah because they suck I have tried both senators with no luck I cannot afford $5000 right now. anyone else have some useful advice??

Inquiry why case is taking longer than normal processing time assigned to an officer (submitted through emma): Feb 20, 2024
Submitted medicals with initial application. No dependants. No RFEs. No interviews. As far as I know, case was always at National Benefits Center.

at times it felt like a never ending wait, sometimes it’s better to forget about it and continue your normal daily life because otherwise like it happened to me many times, the desperation and anxiety can get the best of you ! good luck to everyone and you’ll soon hear good news :)
