180 days rule
Hi there,
I have a question about I-140/ I-485/I-765/I-131 180 days rule.
So here is my case.
My I-140 and 485 was filed concurrently on Sep 2023. I got I-140 approval recently, can I change my job now? If my employer withdraw I-140, does my I-485 can keep working?
It's like I485 already pending more than 180 days, but I-140 approval hasn't.
Thanks!
Looking for advice
I filed for vawa in March 2022 after I separated for mi ex husband I 2021 (The process for my previous marriage, my i130 was approved, I was just waiting for the interview, before I separated and divorced), after all this time I got engaged in June 2023, my lawyer told me that I can't get married again until my i360 get approved. Fiance and I have talked about the possibility of getting married and doing the entire immigration process again through him. I spoke with two lawyers, one told me that I could do it without a problem and the other told me to wait because VAWA would probably be approved in 24 to 36 months. There are many personal factors (his job) as to why we cannot wait that long. Has anyone filed the i-130 twice?
Case approval was reaffirmed and mailed back to department of state
We had our immigrant visa interview at the embassy F3 category, but our petitioner was diseased so embassy sent the case back to Uscis for approval (we had contacted uscis before our interview).
now the case status shows "Case approval was reaffirmed and mailed back to department of state". Does this mean case is approved? If yes then how much time is it gonna take??
