@GOD DID Did you double check to make sure all docs are submitted and the DS-260 is complete? NVC is going really fast right now, my case was DQ’d in 5 days

@Kristen B actually I have attorney who is handling so he submitted all paperwork and DS260 on 8th April and 9th of April I received letter from NVC that they received all the documents. but until now I didn’t received DQ by NVC im just curious

@GOD DID Oh ok. So you should have also received the welcome letter when your case was created at NVC. Usually the attorney, beneficiary and petitioner all receive them. If you don’t have it ya I would ask him for it. You’ll need your Case # and Invoice # and you’ll login here… https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx I would just check at the top to see if there are any messages and check that all docs were actually submitted and not just uploaded

@Kristen B yes I have received invoice and case number my wife and attorney as well. then my lawyer uploaded documents and ds260 and paid fee aswell . and I have received letter by nvc that they received all the documents and send me one letter along with email they mentioned it must be print and take this letter during interview.

mine got approved exactly a week after submitting all documents

usually can take up to a week or two but usually is pretty fast

@GOD DID i have also seen people getting approval of documents after 2-3 months, i believe it depends upon where it goes and complexity

@Kristen B i understand especially with kid it must be hard on both of you, i am sure u can travel with the baby to see him if you are in canada with US travel visa. As i am also applying from canada and my embassy is Montreal for it. just got approved for my documents from NVC. they informed now they will work with Montreal embassy to book an interview

@Hope p Oh nice! Yes we were able to be with him for a couple of months recently and it was really nice. Not planning to head back until all of this is completed. Yup Montreal is the only embassy in Canada that processes immigration visas so I will also be going there! I’m in NS so going to have to travel for both medical and interview haha this is an extremely pricey process! Congrats on making it through the NVC stage! I’ve heard it’s typically 2.5-4 months total after that until interview so I’m really hoping to get an IL in the May batch 🤞

@Kristen B thats great! same here i am not planning on going to US till this is sorted. i applied from NS and now moved to Manitoba. its pricey here as well as i will have to fly for medical to Ontario and Montreal for interview. i had a chat with someone that after documents approval it took 3 weeks and they booked interview for 5 weeks after. fingers crossed. i am hoping for May/June. being positive and manifesting helps as this was a very long and stressful process

@Hope p Yes! I heard similar, 4 weeks to IL and 6 weeks to interview. The IL’s should be going out within the next week or so. I’ve definitely been checking my email obsessively with one eye open 🫣😜 You’ll have to let me know when you get yours!!!
