My life is under threat of harm
I am currently living outside the country with a pending VAWA. a year ago I became a victim of an assassination attempt and armed robbery.
The police in my home country did nothing to arrest the perpetrators even though I was able to identify them. because of public office corruption. subsequent to that I was diagnosed of depression and ptsd due to that experience. in December last year, I was again attacked, criminally assaulted and robbed by the same gang again where I sustained severe bodily injuries.
I again reported to the crime to the police but they did nothing to apprehend the culprits because of bribery and corruption. I have medial reports from mental health hospital, medical reports of injuries I sustained and efforts made through other government ombudsman to help me get police report from the police since they have refused to issue me one. my life is in danger in my home country as I have a legitimate fear of harm. can this grounds qualify for an expedite request if I can documents my experiences with evidence? I will appreciate all inputs.

do you know if being h1b holder I can change jobs if my self-petitioned I-140 is approved (EB2-NIW category) and I-485 is pending less than 180 days? I ask it because I’m thinking to seek another job (same tittle) but in another company with better salaries.

My advice to everyone struggling, robbed or treated unfairly while going through a domestic violence or any other form of abuse, my prayers are with you. this journey makes it no easier. Many legal entities take advantage of the vulnerable and once they submit those paper work you’re either left on on your own or cast to the wolves, you’re even manipulated to pay more and more for every single advice or additional help. I am not here to ridicule anyone but VAWA victims have been through enough! There’s many free organizations out there that provide legal aids and these organizations pay for everything and lawyers are at your fingertips until the end.. even after.. they will even file the divorce for you and walk you through the process… before spending thousands seek help ask for advice or ask the city for help in the right direction!! God bless you all and I’m praying our journey comes sooner than later.

hello , so I applied for a renewal of my EAD since 2023 Oct and its about to expire in few days. I got my receipt it been received, but up till now I have gotten any update. I have been getting my prima facie renewal. I applied 2021 Dec . still no update apart from my last finger print . any advice please
CRP - tier 2 callback request response
I tried to get a callback from a tier 2 agent about my CRP case and got a VERY generic response that doesn't make sense (quote from email):
"Thank you for your inquiry dated April 08, 2024.
Regarding your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (Employee).
"As of December 6, 2023, your priority date no longer meets the cut-off date published in the Visa Bulletin, due to retrogression, your case must be held in abeyance until a visa once again becomes available. If the adjudication of your Form I-485 will not require an in-person interview at a USCIS office, then your case will be held at the USCIS Service Center where you initially filed your application."
I am now current since Feb 2024 - yet the response is relevant to the day they moved me to CRP. it's like they don't care about anything. so sad :(

Following up if anyone received any update after receiving RFIE for Birth certificate.
I have been waiting for over 100 days and haven't seen any movement. Anyone got any info, if their case transferred to field office or any other update.
