Marriage based green card
Hi Everyone , I am new to this community and I want to explain my case so I can get some insights and see if anyone has gone through same process.
I entered the country through the border in California 2022 , i was taken to detention by border patrol c i did and passed my credible fear , I was then paroled into the US from ice. Fast forward I lost my asylum case in 2023 and appealed immediately , In 2024 I married my spouse who is actively serving in the navy . now I have filled for I-130 and I-131 which is the military parole in place which are both still processing, I applied for both last year , 1 in August and other in September. Please has anyone gone through Same process and was able to receive their green card through marriage.

How long does it take to receive a response
I applied on March 29, 2025,
and received notice on April 1, 2025,
after months I got REF on Nov 12, 2025,
Submitted my REF on Nov 29, 2025
Got REF Response on Dec 10, 2025
Waiting for Approval.
And nothing since then.
Anyone in my shoes. How long does it take to get approval after the REF Response.
Moving from EB3 to EB2, while pending PERM approval
I had a question regarding EB3 and EB2 for ROW.
My PERM was filed on May 2025, under my current role (SWE II) that falls under EB3. If I get promoted to SSE, can I apply to EB2 under the same on-going PERM submission and get an i140 under the EB2 category?
Reason for this:
Based on the current visa bulletin progress, I see my PD ( May 2025) expected to be Current (if under EB2, April 2027) around 6-9 months after I get my i140.
But with EB3, it is going to take more than 8 years for the same date.
Upgrading from EB3 to EB2 to port PD would again take 3+ years with a lot of uncertainty with layoffs etc. and by the time the process is complete, it would have been way passed the PD.
So wanted to check if there are any chances apply for EB2 and EB3 in the same on-going petition for i140 if I get promoted and as I have a Masters degree as well.

I wish everyone well.
I want to see if anyone is in the same situation as me.
I had an interview 7 months ago for i-485 and I haven't received any decision.

EB1c I-140
Hi everyone 👋
I filed my I-140 under the EB-1C category on Nov 27, 2024, and I’m still waiting with no updates so far.
I’m debating whether it’s worth upgrading to premium processing, but I’ve heard that a lot of EB-1C premium cases are getting RFEs, which makes me hesitant.
For context, I do have an approved I-140 under EB-2 from 2016.
Looking to hear insights or experiences from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!
