I -751 Divorce Waiver – Second “Actively Being Reviewed”
Hi everyone,
I submitted my I-751 divorce waiver in April 2023. USCIS received my RFE response (final divorce decree) in March 2025.
On July 3rd, the status changed to “Case is actively being reviewed,” which is the second time I’ve received this update — the first was after the initial submission.
There are no new documents uploaded under the Documents tab. My case is with the Texas Service Center (TSC).
Has anyone else experienced this? Could it just be an internal case transfer or routine update with no immediate outcome?
I’d really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
vawa was approved while in removing proceedings
My master hearing is October 2025 . I have approve Vawa . I applied motion to terminate that was rejected reason The order just says that the court does not find termination is appropriate . My cancellation of removal is pending based on Vawa .and I-485 is admin close due to removing proceedings. What option I have . Thx
RFE
Good Afternoon, after 3 long years USCIS is requesting evidence. I do have a few concerns, my husband abandoned me in 2022. The evidence I have are not up to present date. Will that be an issue? The RFE is as follow: Shared Residence, Battery and or Extreme Cruelty, Good Faith Marriage, & Good Moral Character.
my citizenship interview letter arrived N-400
My letter informing me that my N-400 citizenship interview arrived at home this week, but I haven't had my 10-year green card approved yet. This letter that arrived only talks about the citizenship interview and nothing about a combo interview for the I-751 and N-400. Can you tell me if this comes in two different letters? Or if even if I don't have the 10-year green card approved, I'll just do the citizenship?
thank you !
i-485 Case Processing as per PD ?
has anyone noticed a pattern that cases are getting approved as per earlier priority date ?
I see cases filed in Nov Dec 2024 with PD in 2021 still pending, while cases filed in April 2025 with PD or 2015 getting approvals. Is this a processing technique that USCIS follows ?
Cannsomeone tell me more about Prima Facie Determination
Hi everyone,
I’m a VAWA self-petitioner and received a Prima Facie Determination for my I-360. It’s valid until September 23, 2025. My attorney contacted me saying they can file a response to extend it before the expiration date, but they want $250 for it.( I don’t understand why do I need to response to extend)
However, the USCIS letter says that if a decision hasn’t been made, the Prima Facie can be extended automatically within 60 days.
I’m not sure if I should pay the attorney to file something now or just wait or should I do it by myself or it’s just not important
Also, I’m trying to understand:
• How important is this Prima Facie Determination?
• What exactly does it give me — just public benefits or legal protection too?( I don’t need any benefits)
• Does it affect my I-360 approval or is it just temporary proof of eligibility?
I’d really appreciate if someone could explain or share their experience. Thanks so much!
I'm a green card holder 💚
My journey started in 2021 when I came to the U.S. as an international student. In 2023, I found a YouTube video by Oscar that explained how to get a green card through the EB2-NIW process. That video gave me hope.
In July 2023, I applied for the green card with the help of a lawyer I found on Fiverr. It only cost me $800.
Soon after, the visa bulletin dates started moving backward (retrogression), which made things stressful and uncertain. I waited many months, checking the visa bulletin every month and hoping for good news.
Finally, in October 2024, my priority date — July 7, 2023 — became current for DOF . Then, exactly two years later, on July 7, 2025, my green card was approved.
It was a long journey, but we never gave up.
