I-765 under VAWA
I’m looking for some advice from anyone with a similar timeline.
I filed my VAWA case together with my I-485 and I-765 (category C09). I completed biometrics over 7 months ago, and I’m still waiting for my EAD with no updates at all.
I’m currently an international student (not from one of the travel-restricted countries) and I’m worried because I need my work authorization to continue working after I graduate.
Has anyone with a VAWA-based C09 EAD been waiting this long? When did you receive your approval?
Also, has anyone successfully expedited their I-765? If so, what reason did you use, and what evidence did USCIS ask for? I’m wondering if severe financial loss or a job offer has worked for anyone.

Filed December 2022, did biometrics May 2023, got my combo card July 2023. It expired in 2025 and I applied for a renewal, waited about 6 to 7 months and got a 5yr EAD along with my travel doc. I also traveled internationally in December 2023. I have C09
