My children's cases have been pending since June 2024—it's been 25 months now. This is for an IR-2 visa application (unmarried children under 21 of a U.S. citizen). I'm considering filing a Writ of Mandamus and am currently in talks with an attorney. They quoted me a total of $5,000 for both cases, with a payment plan option. Does this sound like a reasonable price? I'd really appreciate any insights, especially from attorneys or anyone who has been through this process!

Request for Guidance: CBP Stated My Travel Document Is Revoked

I tried to travel from Delhi to JFK in May, but I wasn’t allowed to board in Delhi. Today, I was able to board from Delhi, but I was stopped in Paris. The airline contacted CBP, and I spoke with a CBP officer over the phone. He told me, “Your document is revoked. Please contact the U.S. Embassy in India.” How can I get an appointment with the U.S. Consulate/Embassy for this type of case? What documents do I need to bring, or will they verify everything themselves?

Hi my rfe delivered on uscis field office in jun 17 2026 my case tracker still show me rfe was sent and status wasn’t change yet its almost 50 days . should i send my rfe again or i have to wait .

I filed an I-130 petition for my wife in January 2024. I am a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), and my case is being processed at the California Service Center. For a long time, the online status showed “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed by USCIS.” Recently, I noticed that the status appears to have changed to “USCIS is currently processing your I-130 petition.” Is this a positive sign? Does this status change usually indicate that the case is moving forward or getting closer to a decision?

2021 positive thoughts

What location is the true location

Confused. 2 live agents on different dates and times confirmed case is at Seattle Field Office. When checking the location through api it says NBC. Various touches by adjudicator also different times and dates. Just don’t understand why it would not show in api or is it just something that they don’t normally update? It says to always check with official sources. 🤷🏻‍♀️ checked my case in portal. still showing and it has no location change notice of any kind.

Anyone else experiencing this? Rather than the updates being listed I see this instead “Your case status can be found at case status online”

I-751 removal of conditions

I am in the process of removing my conditions, but then I got a notification that saying that action was taken on my case. I checked and it says my I-765 application for employment authorization was automatically revoked and also my I-131 Application for travel was also revoked and it did say it’s because it’s due to approval or denial of underlying formed that grants you all these benefits. Does this mean the approval is in the way? is this how it usually happens?

Hi, I was approved for i485 back in January 2024 but today I got an email from USCIS saying they have taken action on my case. when I log in it says: Case closed I-765, Application for Employment Authorization Submitted on July 10, 2023 Receipt # xxxxxxxxxxx Sections July 21, 2026 I-765 Automatically Revoked On July 21, 2026, we automatically revoked your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxx, due to the approval or denial of the underlying Form that was used to grant this benefit. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. Current as of today at 6:02 p.m. Does this happen because I got my green card in 2024? if so why did they do this now? I’m so scared they revoked it. my I-485 still says case approved and case closed
