Mandamus pro se
Hi i file a pro se mandamus for my i485. I live in ct. I serve 5 defendants through usps certified mail. 4 of my mails alredy shows delivered in usps tracking but the one i mailed to dhs secretary of homeland security its still shows on the way in usps tracking system. It still shows in washington dc distribution center. And i did report for mail missing and talk with usps customer service they say it might be delivered to the adress but due to federal screen test it might got stuck on tracking. they told me to better call dhs. I did call dhs OGC legal intake desk they just told me to leave a voice mail i did leave twice but did not got any call back no respond. I am supposed to file Proof of service to Court in ct. Its been already a month i still got some time but its making me anxious what if they never respond? Can anyone tell me what should i do. if anyone have same experiace pls sahre and thank you.🙏
Venting! Still waiting after 7+ months for interview update
I’m beyond frustrated with this situation and the lack of fairness in the process. I am a lawful, taxpaying family man; my daughter was born in the U.S., and I work as a white-collar professional. My wife is a U.S. citizen and a doctor in the federal healthcare system.
Despite this, I have been waiting over seven months with no updates on my interview. I am not from a restricted country, and I have a completely clean record with no traffic violations or any issues in my background.
This ongoing delay makes it extremely difficult to plan anything for my family, and the uncertainty has become very frustrating.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

do you guys think finally it’s a good news for pending VaWa applicants?
If you have a pending VAWA / I-360 case, this ruling may generally provide temporary protection for people like you whose VAWA applications are still pending with USCIS. The court certified nationwide classes for pending VAWA, U Visa, and T Visa applicants and granted temporary protections while the case continues.
In practical terms, ICE/DHS must now take this court order into account before arresting, detaining, or deporting immigrant survivors with pending VAWA/U/T applications based only on immigration status. The court temporarily paused the January 2025 memo that had rescinded long-standing survivor protections, along with related policies.
The good news is that if you have a pending VAWA case, this decision may give you an additional layer of protection against ICE detention or deportation. It strengthens the argument that you may be covered by class protections because you have a pending survivor-based immigration case.
However, this ruling does not automatically approve your VAWA case, approve your green card / I-485, speed up USCIS processing, eliminate all Advance Parole travel risks, or erase any case-specific issues such as prior removal orders, criminal issues, or other immigration complications.
Overall, the ruling is a positive development for pending VAWA applicants because it makes it harder for the government to detain or deport someone while their survivor-based case is still pending. However, it is still a temporary injunction, the lawsuit is ongoing, and the order could change, be appealed, or be clarified later.
Case moved from actively reviewing to Biometrics schedule
We got an update on our case that it has been moved from received to biometrics scheduled. My husband a US citizen has filled for our case nd it’s been actively reviewing since March 08 2023. Has anyone gotten this type of update and what are we to expect next after he goes for the biometrics . it’s been 3yrs now waiting, it’s exhausting.. I will really appreciate your comments

Trend
Recently, I’ve noticed that more than 10 cases among my friends were transferred to non-local field offices, and all of these transfers happened within the past week.
Does anyone know what this could indicate? Do these cases likely will be sent to local field offices for interview,, or could USCIS be planning to waive the interviews and move toward approval after issuing any necessary RFEs?
I’d be interested to hear if others have seen a similar trend or have insights into what these transfers might mean.
