Hello all, today we have done our K1 visa adjustment of status interview. after the basic verification process IO separated us, and asked a lot questions about our married life etc, we answered quite well expect only 2/3 answers bit nonmatching. after all we are human and being nervures it could happen. at start of interview the IO asked us for documents which can verify our living together, we gave our joint bank statement, our gym contracts, Costco membership etc etc he kept that bundle of documents and did not return to us, and also asked us to give him 10 photos from our album to give him and at the end of the interview he said he needs to review our case and you will receive a decision by mail. Does anyone been though same situation or any one can help us that is this normal? Any respond to this topic will be highly appreciate. #i485

Hello everyone, the fingerprint fee for my form I-485 was received on 5/22/2021. I live in LA and the Nebraska Center is processing the application. Mine is EB-2 type I-485 and my priority date has become current in April, 2021. Interview was completed in Jan, 2020 as well. Since it's been 3 months and no update so far then I submitted a service request at the begining of June. I got a reply from USCIS saying that """""""According to USCIS records, we are unable to move forward with your application until the required background checks have been completed. At this time, we are unable to determine when the adjudication of your case will be completed and no further action is required from you.""""""I just don't understand why they are still doing background check? No decision after I-485 Interview (K1 AOS)

Hey all, We will have had our AOS interview 30 days ago tomorrow. The officer was very clinical and was not in the mood for niceties. It was quite jarring as her questions were vague and difficult at times to understand what exactly she was asking. She got seemingly frustrated but clarified and we were able to answer correctly. Other than that, it was fine. Afterwards, she took about a dozen photos from our albums, and declined to look at any more evidence stating she had all that she needed and that she’d review it and we’d find out within 120 days (she emphasized this). We did not get a letter there nor in the mail and our case status remains at “interview scheduled.” Considering the status hasn’t changed to “under review”, it makes me think it hasn’t been touched at all. I’m concerned because we didn’t get a decision on the spot, but I’ve been told it isn’t abnormal. I don’t see why she wouldn’t approve it given the evidence, the previously approved K1, and the fact that we’ve been married for almost 2 years now. Hello! I filed concurrently I-140 and I-485 on 02/06/2020. My I-140 got approved on 04/05/2021. I am based in Texas. Does anyone know how long does it take for the I-485 to get approved after they already approved the I-140? update: Orlando office: After 11 months: Interview was scheduled/ EAD mailed 04/19/2021

update: I am doing my adjustment of status, in the Orlando office, based on married to #USC. It took 338 days for the #i485 status update until interview was scheduled. Last night (341 days) was the update of the #i765 your new card is being produced. 04/15/2021 case was approved (i765). 04/19/2021 card was mailed to me. Pd 05/08/2020 Bio 02/17/2021 hopefully these times help those who are in the same office #Orlando

Hi, My I-130(sponsored by my permanent resident wife) was recently approved and I’m now filing I-485. I am currently on an F-1 visa and I would like to clarify what documents I would need for evidence of maintaining lawful status besides my I-20. Do I need to provide all of my I-20s from my previous F-1 visa as well? Do I also need to include the job offers for my I-20 OPT and CPTs? Thanks! #i485 #aos #i-20 #evidence

Interviewed on 3/29/2021, PD dec2019 At the end of the interview, Interviewer said we did good and we should hear back from him in less than a month and were handed white paper in the end. Online statuses: i485: Interview scheduled i130 Case received We submitted a lot of proofs he took some photos. In yes no questions, I said no to if I ever worked unauthorized. I was on F1 visa before and my OPT expired on Feb 2020 while I was still waiting for EAD through i485, Received i485 EAD on 29th of March, 2019 ( My lawyer said if I had applied for work permit then I didn't work unauthorized). So if that is considered unauthorized work then yes I worked unauthorized for 5 weeks. Is this what is causing this delay? anybody has similar situation please comment. Or am I just overthinking? 😓 my present EAD expired on same day as Interview.😓 This wait is killing me, Especially since my license and EAD are expired and been 4 months since I applied for EAD renewal. Phoenix Field office despair

Hi, wanting to connect with people who may be waiting for Phoenix to give them appointments for biometrics or interviews. I had an interview scheduled for 04/09/2020 and it was cancelled 03/31/2020 due to Covid. I have literally heard nothing since - I’ve raised SR’s - called and badgered them as much as possible. Their response was basically just wait - your case is pending......
