RFE i485
I submitted my application on July 2nd 2021.
I got an RFE on Sep 17th, Replied to the RFE next week.
12 October, I checked, it shows status biometric is scheduled. Does it mean that the RFE is cleared?
Because when I check the case history it does not show that RFE response was recieved.

Yes, this means that yiur RFE is cleared and moved to next step. You will be getting the letter in mail with biometrics details.

I already replied to the RFE. It changed 1 week after replying to the RFE. But no status has been changed regarding the RFE on the website.

that means they've accepted your RFE response. It's taking them forever to update status these days

You can call or chat with live agent and check. These days they are letting me know a different status(somewhat recent) than what we see online for ourselves.

But I can see the biometric letter online on the portal which has my date of biometric screening.

@Ab, from there if I navigate to https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant , I could add my cases and see the status history. Sorry if it’s a stupid question. But where can we find the biometric letter or any other document shared by USCIS over there?

I guess whatever I am getting is part of 2 factor authentication when I login to my USCIS account. I don’t remember getting any activation code from USCIS. Do we get this by chatting with an agent?

I am not sure how I got it.
for me it did not allowed me to add the case without the activation code
you are trying to add a paper filed case right on the portal?

yes @Ab. All these 485, 131 and 765 are all paper based. Are your applications submitted online?

No mine are paper based only. For me it never allowed me to add cases to the account until I got the online access code from USCIS.
Try this
Go to your account
Try adding paper based case.
It will ask for reciept number
After pressing next ideally it asks for dob, online access code. it does not allow to add cases

@Ab, kinda you already indicated yours is apparently paper based case. Per https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/how-to-create-a-uscis-online-account it looks like the paper based case should start with IOE. Can you please confirm?
