SSN AFTER RECEIVING EAD
just wanted to let u all know people what I'm up to: Finally received my ead on Nov 24th but unfortunately we still have to wait for ssn which I haven't received up to today Dec 8th. it's been more than 7 business days so I just got a hold of the ssn field office and schedule an appointment ( I have been trying the whole week and finally got a human being to take my call) I got a job and they require it in the paperwork. The person that made the appointment on phone for me said that It's never gonna get to my mail if I dont apply for it but that's not true bc I know people from here that have got ssn in 7 business days or less after receiving EAF and with same timeline. Haven't had the interview or anything yet. I'm waiting for it to be scheduled. That's where I stand as of today guys! PD April 19th Marriage based c9 category #ssn #ead

Expedite requests don't slow down your case.
Expedite requests are a way to tell USCIS that your case should be treated before anyone else's, basically. That's why the approval rate of those requests is very low, as you need to give USCIS compelling reasons as to why you should jump the line. Here's how expedite requests work: you submit one, and it gets assigned to an officer. If this officer deems your request worthy of processing, they will request more documents to support your claims. If the expedite request was submitted by a congress representative, then they already sent all supporting documents (they require you send them those before they plead your case with USCIS). When the USCIS officer has all that they need to process your expedite request, this is where they decide whether your case is strong enough to be taken from the queue and approved right away or not. If your request is very strong, they approve your petition. If not, they deny your expedite request and your petition stays in line in the queue, where it was before you or the congress representative submitted the expedite request. So, you see, expedite requests don't slow down your case. They can speed it up, hence the name, but they don't slow it down. Also, expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the USCIS officer who reviews each request makes decisions at their own discretion. 🎉EAD approved, April filer!🎉
My fellow immigrants, I uploaded a version of this post last week but this one is my complete timeline from filing to reception. April 2, 2021: USCIS received my case September 21, 2021: case being actively reviewed by USCIS November 9, 2021: EAD approved. Card being produced. November 12, 2021: card was produced November 12, 2021: I-797 approval received November 15, 2021: card was picked up by USPS November 17, 2021: EAD (form I-766) received/delivered. Center: Nebraska Receipt number: IOE-09-112-63xxx Category: C8, renewal. It cost peace of mind, frustration, depression, anxiety, but this page is now turned and my mind can get its peace back. 😂 No biometrics was taken. So, don't stress if you haven't received biometrics appointment. USCIS don't always send them. Plus, in some cases, they reuse old/previous ones. Keep the faith. VAWA biometrics updates
Hello! I filed for the whole VAWA package in February 2021, I did my biometrics on August 2nd, but, when checking the status of my cases, they all still show the same - Case was received in February. It’s been 3,5 months since biometrics. Is it supposed to not update my case status online to Fingerprints received? Or is that an error and I should find out why it has been stuck at the same message? My attorney did mention in the beginning that I would not be able to see the case status updates because of the confidentiality of VAWA. The physical address is set to his office & he always informs me if he receives anything. But is that really how it is & I cannot see the real status online? I’m just in desperate need of EAD and want to address this if that’s an error. #vawa #ead #biometrics #fingerprints #case #status

hi! I have been tracking for one week the i765 with “case received” status for Vermont Center to try to understand what are they working on. I have tracked from EAC2190036000(Dec cases) to EAC2190066000(May cases) in the case Tracker app and those are my conclusions. In this week there are 96 less cases in “case received” status, 11 of them before March, 27 are March cases, 29 are April cases and 29 are May cases. So it is obvious that they are not following any order…but at least now I know that they are working in EADS in Vermont… There are still around 2,200 i765 in “ case received” status in that range I studied. hope this helps! #ead #vermont #i765
