••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Fast forward to 2023, God took my faith through the fire (again) but He sure made gold out of me (again)!
I'm still in awe of God's faithfulness and how He takes care of me even in rough times, and trust me when I say that an outline is a watered down presentation but nonetheless, I believe God to lift someone's spirit with this outline:
• September 28, 2022 EB2-NIW I-140 RFE (challenging all 3 prongs)
• November 7, 2022 responded to EB2-NIW RFE
• April 17, 2023 EB2-NIW I-140 denied by NSC
• April 24, 2023 submitted EB1 I-140 concurrent (I-485, I-765, I-131) premium processing application (because it doesn't hurt to use every opportunity within my reach - I'm that resilient). This was processed at NBC
• May 5, 2023 EB1 I-140 RFE (challenging my selected criteria)
• May 9, 2023 filed I-290B (motion to reopen the denied EB2-NIW I-140). This process takes 6 months per the USCIS website - meaning expected response is by November 2023
• May 19, 2023 responded to EB1 I-140 RFE
• May 24, 2023 case updated to show EB-1 I-140 response to RFE received
• May 31, 2023 EBI I-140 case updated to show active review
• June 1, 2023 EB1 I-140 denied (I didn't even bother about appeal/submitting a motion for this)
• June 2, 2023 even after denial of the EB1 I-140, I received a mail about biometrics appointment (6/23/2023) for EB-1 concurrent I-485/I-765/I-131. I was confused because I thought, what's the point? The EB-1 I-140 was already denied. I already provided biometrics in the past through the EB2-NIW concurrent process. So why this appointment? Nonetheless, having contacted the customer care, I was advised to just go for the biometrics anyway since I was sent the letter. So I notified my supervisor about the appointment and made advance request time off for it
• June 20, 2023 I guess due to the EB-1 concurrent I-485 and possibly the "independent" nature of an I-485 process, I received RFE for a pending/approved I-140. Again, I was confused because both EB2-NIW and EB-1 I-140 petitions were already denied at this point, so I didn't know what to send. However, I had my EB2-NIW I-290B (motion to reopen) notice. So I went to God and asked for Guidance.
God gave me this scripture 2 Chronicles 2:11 and the first line reads "King Hiram sent this letter of reply to Solomon"... Ahhhhh! I was dazed! I took this as a sign of God telling me to send the I-290B (motion to reopen) receipt notice as a "letter of reply" since that's all I had.
• June 23, 2023 the biometrics date. The enemy tried to fight me again because a schedule conflict came up at work! Imagine???!!! After weeks of advance time off request? Now this? Ah! I was exhausted! I performed the task at work and I was almost an hour late (about 3:00pm) for the appointment but after the work task, I still drove down.
As I was driving, I told God, "I'm upset, I'm angry, I'm tired! But if it's your will, you'll let the Biometrics Personnel attend to me".... And to the glory of God, upon arrival, a few moments to their closing time (4:00pm) I was attended to!!! God be praised!!! I asked the staff how long it'll take for my case status to be updated after biometrics and she said, "Give it about two weeks or so"... But God had other plans! Dear friend, on the same day, my case was updated to show Biometrics taken!!!! Isn't God good?!!!!
• June 27, 2023 in response to the June 20, 2023 RFE, I mailed my EB2-NIW I-290B (motion to reopen) receipt notice.
• June 28, 2023 it was accepted!!! And my case was updated to show response to RFE received! Good God!!!
The battle didn't end there....😅
• July 13, 2023 EB2-NIW concurrent I-485 denied. 18 days till I-765/I-131 combo card is revoked! But, as all-knowing, all-seeing and futuristic as God is, I'm grateful I obeyed - had the biometrics appointment as well as sent the I-290B (motion to reopen) receipt notice because by this time, my I-290B was already linked to this EB-1 concurrent I-485 process! Meaning that I won't incur any out of status problems, given as I had a fresh I-485 pending! Truly God goes many steps ahead to make every crooked path straight!!!
• July 26, 2023 Expedite request for work permit per the new I-485 (as explained above) so at least, I could have something to work with in advance of revoking the work permit affected by the denied EB2-NIW concurrent I-485.
• July 31, 2023 Due to denied EB2-NIW concurrent I-485, my I-765/I-131 combo card was revoked and I returned it to a local immigration office as instructed in the EB2-NIW concurrent I-485 denial letter!
• August 1, 2023 loss of employment due to revoked work permit (but my employer said once I get my approval and appropriate documents, I can notify HR and they'll reinstate me back to work - isn't God good? 😃)
And later in this month, I told God, "if granting the 7/26/23 work permit expedite request would hinder my petition approval, please don't bother about granting me that request... My main desire is my petition because that's a permanent situation, unlike the work permit which is only temporary..."
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Now there'll be a little back and forth with the dates but I trust you'll see God's hand again!
• August 1, 2023 I told God, "Father, I may be "temporary unemployed" now but I won't lose my job or my home".... "You'll keep them for me... I see this period as mandatory holiday".... And also told myself I won't contact the USCIS anymore but allow the I-290B (motion to reopen) process to run its course. I needed to give myself a break from the mental stress...
• August 17, 2023 After my morning quiet time with God, I had a nudge in my spirit to call USCIS.
I fought the nudge because I was tired of the calls. But the nudge was persistent. So I called. I asked the Rep for follow up on my I-290B (motion to reopen).... because mind you, this I-290B was reviewed at different times in May, June and July 2023 per previous calls I had made back then.... The Rep said, "I see the last review was in July 2023 but I don't see any further review. However, a letter dated August 18, 2023 will be mailed out to you."
I grew anxious! I asked for the letter content but was told he couldn't access the letter.
My inside voice started wondering, "how will you tell me a letter will be sent to me without telling me the content? That's nerve wrecking in itself!"
At this point, I grew restless. So after the call, I decided to chat using Emma. I got connected to a Rep and asked for help with this but I was given the same response and adviced to wait to get the mail in 'about 30 days or less because it could be faster'... 30 days? Is it a snail mail or a horse delivery? 🤣....
Anyway, I left it alone and went about my day.
• August 18, 2023 I had an appointment to pick up my severance package since I stopped working effective July 31, 2023 (as explained above).
On my drive back, I had the same nudge to call USCIS. I was tired again... Why this nudge again?
Well, I indulged. I called. I asked again to follow up on my I-290B and now I don't remember asking the Rep for the content of the letter but all I remember is she just started talking.... She began, "I see a letter has been mailed out to you as of today and it appears the USCIS has granted the motion to reopen/reconsider your case and will also approve and send the approval letter at a later day"....
My tired heart was beating with every single word she spoke and my head wasn't processing rightly. 😅 So I said, "Hold on please. Are you saying the motion is granted or my case has actually been approved already?" Then she said, "Oh, the motion to reopen was granted and your case I-140 has also been approved"...
Dear friends I lost it!!! I went from screaming to crying to thanking her for making my day with such information and then to apologizing for my emotional outburst... Thankfully, she was kind and said, "It's okay, I understand, I'm happy to have made your day today"... Then the call ended.
I had to pull over. By the road, I broke down in tears and thanksgiving to God for this wonderful thing He had done!!!
Here, I remembered a dream/vision God gave me sometime in May 2023. In this dream, I saw myself place a call to USCIS about my case and was told over the phone that my case was approved. But later on, in reality, I was getting denials. I became perplexed but maintained that God doesn't lie - He says what He means and means what He says... Well, now that dream has come to pass just as God purposed it to be.
• August 21, 2023 I received informed delivery email from USPS and saw the picture of the envelope. As an added sweetener, I could read the first line of the notice which says, "the above petition has been approved"... I believe God just made that possible to truly give me rest and believe that what the Rep said over the phone was actually correct! 😄 I was so elated.
On this same day, after my adrenaline cooled down... a little bit though 😅.... I opened the informed delivery email in full and saw two additional USCIS letters... Hmmm?! I thought, what could these be? Honestly, I was in high anticipation that I not only kept checking my mail box intermittently but upon seeing a USPS van through my window, I ran across the street to ask if he brought mails for my residence! Don't blame me, I was just overjoyed! 🤣🤣
He was kind enough to respond and said he wasn't distributing to my residence but a different area....
Later this evening, I heard a door slam, I looked through my window again and saw a USPS van parked by my residence and saw the mail man walk towards my residence. You bet I ran out to meet him! 🤣 With all smiles, I said, "I have been waiting all day for some letters". Then he kindly replied, "I'm so sorry I was late today".... I contained my excitement and waited/watched him drop the letters in my box. I thanked him, got my letters are skipped back in with all 3 letters in hand! 🤣
They were: notice granting motion to reopen my case, decision letter about motion granted/approval, and the approval letter itself!!! Praise God again!!!
Per the approval letter, my case was already approved as of August 15, 2023! And I didn't even know! Mostly because after the denial in April 2023, I no longer tracked the EB2-NIW I-140 case number rather I tracked the I-290B case number, not knowing that the approval reflected on the former not the latter!
Moments later, I mailed a copy of the approval letter to the office handling the NBC I-485 process (as explained above) so they know that my once denied case undergoing a motion to reopen has now been approved!!!!!
• August 23, 2023 my mail arrived the office!!! To God be the glory!!!
• August 24, 2023 case updated to acknowledge receipt of the approval letter I mailed!!! Praise God for speedy actions!!!!
It's been a journey but I continue to hold on to my faith!
To be continued.... 😃
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
May I add that throughout my ENTIRE process, I didn't have a Lawyer working my case because I couldn't afford it and I don't truly trust Lawyers to do beyond the barest minimum, and funny enough when I started in 2021, after a free consultation, one Lawyer said to me "I don't believe in your case" 🤣🤣.
Again after the EB2-NIW denial and deciding to submit EB1, another Lawyer said to me "if you didn't get the EB2-NIW approved what makes you think you'll get the EB1 approved" 🤣🤣 but God DEFINITELY BELIEVES IN ME AND ALL ABOUT ME, AND SURELY HAS PLANS AND PURPOSES FOR MY LIFE!!! 💃🏾
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
• August 25, 2023 I received a USCIS email regarding request for evidence for the 7/26/2023 expedite request. I was advised to fax my evidence.... This made me smile and reminded me of my request to God earlier this month (as explained above). Truly, God hears our pleas and grants our heart desires as long as we work and trust in His will - His thoughts for us are of good and not evil, to give us hope and a desired future!
On this same day, 8/25/2023, I responded with supporting evidence with emphasis on my approved I-140 petition, so rather than issue me a work permit, they'll issue my green card and wrap up my long awaited process! 😃
• August 31, 2023 I had call with a Tier 2 Officer and explained the "complexity of my case". He said, "they shouldn't have denied your I-485 from 2021 since you had a pending I-290B... but not to worry, I'll send two requests... One to the NSC to have them reopen the denied I-485 since your I-140 is now approved and the other to the NBC to link the approved underlying petition to my most recent I-485." Afterwards, he sent me two emails with the referral IDs for follow up whenever I contact the USCIS.
• September 6, 2023 I called the USCIS for follow up and I was told that an Officer reviewed the 8/31/23 requests and set a target response date for 9/21/23.
• September 15, 2023 per the 8/31/23 request, I received an email from the USCIS stating that the 8/31/23 requests have been forwarded to a Supervisor for review and a decision will be sent to me within 60 days.... But I believe God will hasten this process and settle me by the end of this month and I will return here to share my perfect and complete testimony!
• September 20, 2023 I-485 case at NSC updated to show "Case reopened for reconsideration"
• September 21, 2023 I-485 case at NSC updated to show "Case was reopened"
• September 25, 2023 per the 8/31/23 requests, I received an email that my underlying petition for the I-485 at NBC had been changed
It's been a journey but I continue to hold on to my faith!
To be continued.... 😃
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Throughout September, I called USCIS to follow up on the July 26, 2023 EAD expedite request for which RFE requested on August 25, 2023 was submitted, but nothing favourable. Even after responding to the RFE, still nothing!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
• September 26, 2023 I spoke with a Tier 2 Officer (interestingly the same one who put in the 8/31/23 requests, what are the odds? 😂) following up on my reopened I-485 @ NSC, and after discussing back and forth on how this process is basically holding up things for me, he advised to submit a new I-765/I-131 combo card application (since the last one was revoked) ahead of when my PR card will be ready, so I can go back to work and doing other things.
Deep sigh! Another application again?
Oh boy! I'm tired!!!
• September 27, 2023 per the 8/31/23 requests, I received another email from the USCIS that my reopened I-485 @ NSC was in line to be reviewed by an Officer with a 60-day turn around time!
• September 27, 2023 after so much debate in my head and heart, praying, being upset about this exhausting process.... I took the Tier 2 Officer's advice from 9/26/23, completed a new I-765/I-131 form, and mailed it with an expedite request cover letter
• October 7, 2023 receipt notices for the new I-765/I-131 application arrived my mail box
• October 10, 2023 expedite request for new EAD submitted via telephone call
• October 12, 2023 expedite request for new EAD via telephone call denied
• October 14, 2023 expedite request for reopened I-485 submitted via Congress Office
• October 20, 2023 expedite request for reopened I-485 via Congress office denied. Congress office case worker called and said she received a response from the USCIS that they don't expedite I-485 cases but if I have a pending EAD, I can submit that with supporting documents. Weird huh? Even with having a current I-485 priority date? But ok, no problem...
• October 23, 2023 expedite request for new EAD submitted via Congress office
• October 30, 2023 another expedite request for new EAD submitted via EMMA
• October 31, 2023 expedite request for new EAD via EMMA denied
It's been a journey but I continue to hold on to my faith!
To be continued.... 😃
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Again, throughout October, I called USCIS to follow up on the July 26, 2023 EAD expedite request for which RFE requested on August 25, 2023 was submitted, but nothing favourable. Almost two months and still nothing?! No update from the Officer?!
Honestly, USCIS has little understanding about what "expedite" really means.
All of these has been mentally hard..... But God....
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
• November 2, 2023 in the morning, I called USCIS again about my situation and the need to get an EAD so I can achieve stability. While waiting to get connected, I asked God to connect me to an empathetic and patient Rep who won't just listen to my voice but listen to God's.
By the mercy of God, my prayers were answered. This Rep listened and did more than the barest minimum for me!
This call lasted almost 30 minutes! Afterwards, to cut the story short, she switched from the EAD matter to I-485.
She said based on my priority date/chargeability, visa is currently available (which I know).
She also stated my NSC I-485 case was moved to the San Francisco field office (which I never knew and no Rep mentioned to me in all the dozens of previous calls I made where I asked for further information on my case).
She then moved to place an expedite request for my I-485 and said to wait for about 7 business days for a response.
I was pleasantly surprised because in October, having tried expediting my reopened I-485 via the Congress office, it wasn't fruitful (as explained above). But here I am with a favourable outcome following this phone call!
I just know God's divine timing is in all these....
• November 2, 2023 later in the afternoon, I received an email from the USCIS SFO requesting for documentation to support my expedite request. Later in the evening, I mailed the package via UPS (next day air to arrive by 8am).
• November 3, 2023 UPS flight delay. 🤦🏾♀️ Attempt delivery at about minutes past 2pm but the SFO was already closed! Package scheduled for delivery on next business day.
I made a confession of faith that this delay would be the very last delay ever on my immigration process!
• November 6, 2023 package to expedite I-485 arrived SFO
•November 6, 2023 regarding my EAD, I got a lawfully update showing "New Card Being Produced"! The Congress office case worker also called to notify me that my combo card is being produced and will be mailed in a couple weeks! Praise God!
• November 7, 2023 EAD/AP cases approved!
• November 9, 2023 I-485 RFE arrived my mail box and it requests I-693 and documents related to current employment.
Two things:
Firstly, the I-693 was requested in 2021, I sent it but given as my case remained pending, that I-693 expired because it's valid for 2 years, and so I'll have to resend.
Secondly, for the fact that I have been unemployed all this while since my card was revoked (as explained above), I consider the I-765/I-131 approval inherently timely because with this combo card, I can be reinstated back to work at my former employer, and then I can respond to the I-485 RFE on employment.
It's all coming together.
• November 14, 2023 I-765/I-131 card is being mailed to me/card was picked up by the united states postal service.
• November 15, 2023 Combo card arrived my mail box.
• December 20, 2023 Reinstated back to my previous employer and response to I-485 RFE submitted.
I know the end of this is near! 💃🏾
It clearly is God moving and my confession remains that God who's started this good work will perfect it and I'll be favourably settled this month of November!
It's been a journey but I continue to hold on to my faith!
To be continued.... 😃
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
December 26, 2023 Case transferred to Raleigh field office.
March 1, 2024 Case transferred to National Benefits Centre
March 7, 2024 New card is being produced
March 12, 2024 Case was approved
March 22, 2024 Card was being mailed to me
Deep sigh... It's finished and finished well. What a journey!
Once again, this God is faithful and this is a watered down presentation but I just would say this, if God has done it before, absolutely nothing hinders Him from doing it again!
It's not easy but having put in your efforts, I beg you to stick with Him, trust Him, He is the best ADVOCATE!
THANK YOU JESUS!!!
ALL GLORY TO GOD!!!
God bless you!

Thank you God…
So it seems our journey is about to begin…
This morning around 6am woke up checked my concurrent status and as always nothing.
2 hours later checked again and my I130 said case being actively being reviewed as of today for a third time. Decided to log into my USCIS and to my surprise I130 approval under my document tab. Few minutes later decided to chat with an agent and her words, “ GOOD NEWS” as of 8/3/2023 your I485 has been approved. God did I get butter flies all over my stomach. Agent set a call today with a tier 2 agent so passport can get stamped while we wait for green card. FYI NO interview

i-485 approved 🤩🎉
So incredibly excited and relieved to get this news!! Now crossing my fingers that my husband gets his approved soon before the end of the month 🤞🙏
What a pleasant turn of events after spending the day heartbroken with the new bulletin and trying to come to terms with the EB3 retrogression likely impacting our application. I was not expecting a decision to come through within 60 days of filing, especially not today after the August bulletin was posted. Cannot wait to have the green card in hand 💚💚
Still some uncertainty in the air around my husband's application as my dependent. I am hoping for the same decision in the coming weeks before August kicks in, otherwise we'd get impacted by the May 2020 retrogression (PD Dec 2021).
What are our chances here? I am trying to remain optimistic but there seems to be a varying range for the approval gaps between primary and dependants.
I am still so elated and grateful, but really hoping my luck extends to my husband's AOS soon enough 🙏

i-765 Approved 😊/ Aprobada
On June 27th I got a letter from USCIS approving my work permit! And this morning just changed my status on the website to “Card was produced”. How long does it take to them to send it out?
I also applied on forms to get a SSN card. Will I get one as well? If so, will it come in the same envelope or is another department taking care of it?
I am really excited 🎉😊
We are still waiting on my Residency case but this new changes everything. I can finally find a job and help my husband pay bills 😊
I hope everyone else waiting on a response get the same update ASAP!
Have a good day
Tengan buen día!!

I-130 approved after NOID (F2A)
I-130 Approved after NOID (F2A)
Hello everyone!
Yesterday we found out that our I-130 got approved after replaying to the NOID. I’m married to LPR and I’m adjusting status from F1 visa. So unfortunately our I-485 was retrogressed in April.
Here is our timeline:
FO: Hialeah, FL
May 13, 2022 - We filed I-130, I-148, and I-765 concurrently.
June 13, 2022 - First biometrics appointment (rejected because they couldn’t read my fingerprints lol)
July 11, 2022 - Second biometrics appointment
March 14, 2023 - EAD approved
March 22, 2023 - EAD received
March 20, 2023 - I-130 is being actively reviewed. I contacted EMMA and learned about the NOID
March 28 (?), 2023 - NOID received.
April 18, 2023 - Response to the NOID
April 18, 2023 - We filed I-131 (We didn’t filed with the initial application since our lawyer advised not to).
May 31, 2023 - I-130 approved.
The NOID was about the evidence of bona fide marriage of my husband (the petitioner) to his previous wife. My husband received his permanent residency via immigration court and the judge granted him his green card. However, because he was previously married to USC, he needed to prove that his previous marriage was bona fide in order to establish if he can even sponsor me. Fortunately we managed to defeat the NOID by providing all the evidence that his previous marriage was real and our I-130 got approved without interview.
