I have a pending Asylum appeal case in Immigration court and I am preparing documents for VAWA application based on abusive marriage. us citizens My work permit (category c9) that I have is soon to expire, my question is while I am preparing and gathering all the documents for VAWA petition, can I file for my EAD renewal (category C8) based on the pending Asylum case? Once I have filed for the Work permit would it be okay to file for I-360 if no decision is made during this time? can travel outside USA

Asylee applying for Citizenship
Hello All,
I’m little confused, My asylum case was granted in 2016. I applied for Green card a year later in 2017, I got approved in 2018. instead of backdating my green card to 2016, USCIS put 2017 as date were I became LPR. It says, asylee can apply for citizenship after 5 years after being granted asylum. so my question is should I count 5 years starting from when I was granted asylum (2016) or the date on my green card (2017)
