GC spouse consular processing
Can anyone share experience on how long it took for spouse consular processing if you are a green card holder? Does it help that the priority date is current for F2A category? or does processing still take 2 -3 years like in the past? Thanks

The “current status” only means that once your I-130 is approved, there is a green card available to you. you still have to go through the I-130 process and this is taking a long time for the F2A category. Service centers were supposed to continue processing cases even though there was a proclamation banning the issuance of green cards for LPR, but at least at Potomac, they stopped altogether. I’ve been waiting 14 months for my I-130 and still no updates. Hopefull things will speed up now under Biden. good luck!

@JJ thanks. Do you know is there anything that determines which SC does one's i-130? or it's pretty random? The processing times seem pretty short for some but Cali and Potomac are long. Anyways hope you get yours approved soon
