work permit about to expire
work permit expires in 3 weeks. Being trying to renew it since July. However, initially I did not receive a receipt notice for I-485. I had to call USCIS last year to get the receipt numbers verbally. They have rejected my renewal because I can’t provide proof of adjustment of status. I’ve sent numerous service requests, I’ve called them many times and I’ve not gotten any answers. Does anyone know what can be done?
Are they skipping the “Ready to be Scheduled” stage now?
I chatted with a live agent today via Emma and inquired about my case I-485 status and receipt notices for AP and IED applications I made 3 weeks ago.
For my case status, she said they were waiting to book interview even though it says actively being reviewed on my account. Does it mean that it doesn’t go to “ready to be scheduled for an interview” anymore? Just from “actively being reviewed” to “interview scheduled”?
It would just be nice to not be kept in the dark all the time. This “actively being reviewed” status does not let one know what stage of the process they’re in.
Green Card Application - i465/i130
I am finalizing my applications for i465, i30 etc… I was wondering if I could get some advice, my spouse stopped working in 2019 due to covid and is currently self employed with her exploring options. So she doesn’t currently have health insurance from a job where she could add me to.
Which is the best insurance I could use to help, and does it matter if it is Life or Health insurance ?
