Case Processing

ban or pause list
Hi. how’s everyone doing? October 19th i filed my citizenship application. 2 weeks later I got the notice and a letter saying they’ll use my old fingerprints. I was waiting on an interview date, then the ban or paused happened, so I basically don’t know if it’s going to move forward or not. I read somewhere 2 weeks ago about someone getting arrested after their interview. I’m currently stressed out bc idk what’s happening. I don’t want that happening to me as well bc I don’t have any criminal records nor do I get any government benefits now or ever. Can someone please offer some clarity and if im gonna need a lawyer or not. thank you
My country is on the ban list, which includes 75 countries.
My country is on the ban list, which includes 75 countries. My adjustment of status is currently in progress through asylum. Can this ban affect my adjustment of status? I entered the U.S. on a tourist visa, and my asylum case has been approved by USCIS.

Changing sponsor
Hello everyone, my pd is Nov,2021, i worked for my current employer(fast food) back in 2023 for 18months n took a long break( after talking to my employer meaning i would return back if needed) meanwhile i moved to a different state without changing my address since i still have my lease up there… *talking about my current scenario I am living in a different state, doing doordash and uber for living, i already have my i485j approved(job confirmation) i have not had my interview so far or any rfe… Financially it has been too tough for me in all these years, my work location was in a city with no other employment opportunities and that was the main reason for me to move back to my state… but after moving here i realized i cant use my ead unless i work in that state itself… i know i am close to my pd being current but i cant take it any longer(financial burden, debt, mental anxiety) so i just wanted to know what are my options?, is it a good idea to change my employer at this stage? the reason i am thinking of doing it so is if i find a employer here at my current state i could work part time there and work full time related to my actual skilled job. please advise #pleasedonotjudge #alreadyfeelinglow
CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED
Hello family! I got VAWA approved yesterday 🎉
Wishing everyone to receive the same message soon.
It says I will receive a notice within the next 14 days.
My question is: should I send my medical exam now, or should I wait for a request from my I-485?
If I wait, how long does it usually take to receive the medical request?
Additional questions:
• How long did it take you to receive your green card after submitting your medical?
• Is everyone scheduled for an interview, or do some people receive the green card by mail without an interview?
Thank you so much 🙏

Finally got my U.S. citizenship 🇺🇸
Looking back, the journey wasn’t easy, but it also wasn’t as scary as it felt at times. From start to finish, it took about 4 Years 10 months , and it’s finally complete.
• Applied for marriage-based Green Card: March 2021-NBC Service Center
• Conditional Green Card approved: May 2022-NBC Service Center
• Applied for N-400 and I-751 (Removal of Conditions) together: March 2025- Nebraska Center
• Became a U.S. citizen: January 2026 -Atlanta Field office.
Grateful, relieved, and proud to close this chapter.
To everyone still waiting or just starting—stay patient, stay positive, and trust the process. Good luck to all aspirants. May God bless everyone. 🙏
Submitting Unsolicited evidence after 597 days?
At the time of submission, we only submitted a lease and DL showing shared residence (along with other basic required docs) as evidence.
I tried submitting a case inquiry request, but sadly, my case is still considered “within normal processing time” even after no updates since the initial receipt of biometric notice.
We have pictures, bank statements, affidavits, life insurance, 401k beneficiary information, and we’ll file taxes together this year. I could wait for an RFE or interview, but I’m getting a little paranoid.
I see mixed views on waiting or submittied unsolicited evidence.
Thanks!
