U.S. citizen filing for a spouse
Hello everyone, how are you all?
Our case started in November 01/2023, We are very anxious and nervous at the same time thinking that our case could be taking a long time. Do you think we are on time or taking a long time? Would it be possible to hear back from the USCIS Texas Service Center this year, 2024?
Thanks to your time!!

It’s been almost 500 days
Hey everyone, it’s been almost 500 days of waiting.
Last update is they’ve received my RFE response, but it’s been 70 days after the last update.
Sometimes I just want to give up, sometimes I got myself hopeless, but I won’t give up.
I hope to return here with an approval notice asap.

Asylum based green card is pending!
Q:
I have been granted asylum and applied for a green card seven months ago, I’m wondering if a potential new Trump administration could impact immigration status or cause delays in the process? Are there any policy changes that could affect individuals like me who are following the legal path to permanent residency? I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thank you! 🙏

Marriage based green card finally approved!
AOS changing from F1, married to USC, PD 12/29/2023, no interviews.
Got an RFE for tax return in a new fiscal year.
I was so worried because our case was a bit irregular.
Emma says my cases were transferred to a field office on 11/4, while interviews were not decided whether to be scheduled or not.
I got my I-130 approved yesterday on Sunday, then I-485 was just approved a day after.
My wife is self employed but does not meet income requirement on her own,
so I combined my income as a PhD research assistant on F1, while I was not sure if this could be acceptable. Otherwise we do not anyone to ask to be a joint sponsor.
